I wonder if I have to put those expenses on the Flexperks, or I can put the expenses on any card and just call to get the statement credit. Otherwise, how do they know if I actually spend on the flight redeemed with Flexpoints?

It says so explicitly in the link: "charged to your FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa Signature card".

does the price you paid include any booking fees? or do travelocity prices exactly match airline website prices? I think Orbitz and Expedia dropped their booking fee, but Expedia kept it when using Thank You Points.

Flexperks looks good. Anybody know of a sign-up bonus?
|

there is a 250 point bonus for signing into your FlexPerks account and going to the Rewards section. They are doing a "test drive" of the system and giving 250 points for it.
UPDATE: My GF account does not have this offer. |

I am not sure you read my post correctly. You are right there is no 25k option, but thats not the point. IF YOU CALL, you can redeem 20 K option and then also redeem 5K for a $50 gift card and that will give you access to a flight up to $450. It saves you 5k if the price of your flight is within $50 of the level you redeem.
But I am still curious about the using both a gift card and flexpoints in the same transaction. John |
just a friendly reminder... your purchases must post by 10/31 to qualify for the bonuses...

you should be able to since there's "household account" option inside the rewards center, call them...

I did see the Household Level option online too. I called them and it can be done. Thanks.
Wow, this is a big ^, and I wonder why Flexperks points haven't begun extensive trading on CC, as these are worth much more than TYPoints and are truly one of the most "flexible" reward currencies out there. |

I don't think this has been discussed, but you don't even need to "household" your accounts. If you check the Rewards Center you can transfer points from your Flexperks account into any other Flexperks account. The transfer is instantaneous.

They don't feel very flexible to me. Outside of air travel, they aren't worth too much; for air travel, they only come in an initial 20k bolus, and then in increments of 10k each, so they're not very useful for buying (for example) a $300 ticket, a $404 ticket, a $520 ticket, etc., as too much value is being lost. Plus most of us accrued our big bonuses and probably don't see a lot of value in sticking with the program in the long run, given the limitations and the slow rate of earning.

Have a promotion. If you apply for and use the card you get 10,000 bonus points, I get 5,000. PM if interested. I really like this card.

I'm liking it...

I am liking this card more and more. TBF |
For those who said this card is only good for airline tickets...
I like the sign up bonus on this card (10,000 FlexPerks) and it was easy to accumulate additional points as part of the promotion period. However, I never used this card as my primary so did not end up spending $5,000 before 10/31 to earn double points.
In the end, I only signed up for the card to cash out on a free $300 plane ticket. Even though I do not have enough points to do so, I'll still be able to cash out on $100+ worth of giftcards (Amazon, Best Buy, Outback Steakhouse, etc.) or cash. For cash, use the "Choose Your Own Rewards" feature and sell back points to the cent (ie 10,851 FlexPerks = $108.51). |
