$20

I used my $20 credit to buy a couple in flight meals. Absolutely no problem. You just have to call after the fact and tell them to credit it.

I am so disappointed. I was a NW WorldPerks Visa card holder, and I used my points all the time to purchase tickets. If it was a $415 ticket, I would use 20K points, and charge the $15 difference on my Visa card. Now, to do the same transaction with FlexPerks, I would have to use 30K points (valued at "up to" $600). How dumb do I look? I can't believe that this program rips you off this way. I have the card free for a year because of the loss of the WP card, but I wouldn't want to pay for the privilege of being ripped off like this.
Is there some way around this that a fellow FT'er has figured out?

Nobody "ripped you off". The program details were clearly explained. I think this is one of the best cards out there, especially if the rewards are claimed with some thought.

I think the Travelocity Master Card is much better. 4% return and you can combine points and cash.

Thank you for that info. It's ironic that the FlexPerks Rewards, which does not allow you to combine points and cash, is operated through Travelocity.

Travelocity Hotel Rooms ?

Can I use my Flexperks to book Travelocity Hotel rooms. I see the Tab for airlines , but not hotels.

Doesn't look like it. You can use the points for other "travel" perks like coupons for Hyatt or Ritz Carlton, but not for pure hotel booking. The points can also be used for cruise lines, etc.

has anyone had experience with closing all of their Flexperks credit cards? What happens to the Flexperks points? I assume they die, meaning I have to spend them before closing the cards...

I am not sure you read my post correctly. You are right there is no 25k option, but thats not the point. IF YOU CALL, you can redeem 20 K option and then also redeem 5K for a $50 gift card and that will give you access to a flight up to $450. It saves you 5k if the price of your flight is within $50 of the level you redeem.

Has anyone actually done this? I have a flight I want to purchase tonight for $817.... anyway to handle the $17??

15,000 bonus FlexPerks with $500 purchase

got a new mailer today... it's a bit vague, doesn't reference a specific card number, there's a picture of the FlexPerks personal (black) card on the front.

Spend $500 between May 1 and June 30 and receive 15,000 bonus FlexPerks. points to post 6-8 weeks after promo has ended.

Thoughts:
- My annual fee is due around June or July. I wonder if this is coordinated, so I'm tempted not to cancel.
- it's hard to know which card this is good for, since they didn't reference a specific one.
- Since I have 2 white cards and 1 black card, I could spend the $500 on the black card but it doesn't help a whole lot, right? Unless I get a full 20k bonus points it doesn't help me towards a plane ticket?

I Left 20 Cents on the Table.....

Used my 20k in points for a $399.80 ticket to LAS.

When the card renews (with an annual fee), I'll drop it. Nothing wrong with the service or the concept --- I just don't need an annual fee-based card.

By the time the flight comes, it will be after the renewal date --- so I'll lose on the "incidentals" benefit. That's okay too.
