My biz FlexPerks has a new 250-point quiz, simple Qs.
Also, I noticed the latest balance transfer cheques on my personal FlexPerks no longer offer the 3500 bonus FlexPoints for completing a minimum $1K balance transfer. I took advantage of all 8 of these balance transfer offers I received on my personal and biz FlexPerks accounts - have already received 5 x 3500 points, waiting on 3 x 3500 more. |

I noticed this also. I hope they resume the 3500 FlexPerks bonus.

Bogus U. S. Bank FlexPerks card
U. S. Bank issues a credit card called FlexPerks. I applied for and received a card after reading a positive report in The Wall Street Journal. I have paid all bills promptly and have never exceeded my credit limit.
FlexPerks soon began to randomly reject charges for no reason that they will explain. It doesn't matter if my charge is at the neighborhood grocery store where they approved charges previously, or at a local restaurant. I recently had a charge rejected ("not authorized") at our local Kroger and I called FlexPerks on the spot. They refused to give me a reason for the rejection and said that they would have to speak to a store employee. The clerk refused to speak to her and she asked for the manager. I used my American Express card which I have had since 1972 without ever suffering the indignities forced upon me by FlexPerks. DO NOT GET A FLEXPERKS CARD. |

DO NOT GET A FLEXPERKS CARD. 2ndly I LUV my FlexCC and just cashed in for a $389 JFK-SNA tkt where I will earn 6100 EQMs and it didnt cost me a dime, and if done properly only takes $10k in charges = just shy of a 2% rebate 3rdly Ive had numerous CCs over the yrs deny my purchase, all I did was take out another and off I went. I never once felt ashamed the 1st CC didnt go thru. If it was me Id be more embassed that the store employee or mgr didnt speak to Flex as now Flex thought I was pulling something, then what the store people thought since itw as denied. But thats just me |

I think you called U.S. Bank customer service. FlexPerks is merely the name of the rewards programs linked to your card and has no effect on transaction approvals. Have you subsequently contacted U.S. Bank, during normal working hours, to speak with a manager (not the frontline customer service agent or a supervisor) about the pattern of declined transactions? Charges may be declined due to problems which have nothing to do with your individual account. For example, the merchant's connection to the VISA authorization network may be down. |
Many credit cards have fraud prevention programs in place. Some transactions trigger these. Often for gas, fast food, or other smaller transactions that don't require you to sign, or are methods used by people stealing credit cards.
|
Sorry to hear about your experience. As mentioned earlier, this is probably because of some fraud protection flag that was triggered. Nothing to do but contact them directly and ask for additional information. I would also register online and keep an eye on my charges.
Personally, I like Flexperks specially since they allow you to transfer points between accounts for free. I know that my trip to Las Vegas last year was nicer because I used Flexperks for the ticket, and comp nights for the stay. |
I just checked and Southwest was not on their redemption partners list.
Are we still able to book Southwest flight? Thank you! |

Courtesy points to cover Annual Fee in 2011?
Do you think Usbank will give the "courtesy" 3500 pts to cover the $49 annual fee this year as they did last year here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other...ee-waiver.html
Has anyone had the annual fee show up on a 2011 statement and asked them about it yet? Even though my annual fee doesn't post until the May 2011 stmt, I'm wondering about it now in case others report they're not giving out the courtesy pts this year. In this case, I want to redeem all my remaining points for a statement credit, which the website says takes 8-10 weeks (does it really take that long??), so I would have to request the statement credit now if i want to guarantee it will show up before the annual fee. |

Based on the information mailed to me and on the Promo website and on the US Bank CC website and on my statement they are giving the 3500 bonus miles as long as you send $24,000 within your yearly period.

Hmmmm. Just got declined for the first time with any application - Flexperks reject letter with the explanation of "numerous recent applications using ssn". I had five CC applications in the last two years (May and November, 2009; July and August, 2010; January, 2011) Does this comport with others' experiences with US Bancorp, the Flexperks home company? (I have almost 800 credit score and no negative info on my reports.) The reject letter also says they based their decisions on info from CSC Credit Services. Anyone know what credit agency(ies) CSC uses to check credit info? (TA? EQ? EX?)
