It may be easier to get approved for a new business with 0 years and $0 gross income.

April 2024: BOA Biz Recon (Small Biz Lending, Credit Analyst) 888-782-7717, 888-569-4439 (M-F 8am-7pm EST), both answered by live human in 2-4 minutes. (Both numbers confirmed multiple times in the past 2-3 days.)

Biz card expedited shipping: wait 24 hours after approval for a card number to generate then call 800-901-9830 and a person will answer. If 1st Rep says "no" ask him/her to ck. with a supervisor. This worked for me.

Credit Inquiries
Credit Inquiries for Personal cards come from BofA. Inquiries for business cards come from FIA.
Credit bureaus usually merge inquiries from the same requester made on the same day.
Inquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.
Does one have to call BoA to lower a card's credit limit?
Yes, there is no longer any way to contact BOA online. Phone is the only method currently.
When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.
If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.
Can you send a secure message through your account online?
No. BOA has removed the secure message functionality, even for Preferred members. The only way to contact BOA now is to call them.
Can I apply for another personal Alaska card if I have one open already?
Some people still can, but these days many people get denied. If you don't want to risk getting denied, it's probably better if you close any existing personal Alaska cards before applying for another one. But be sure to lower credit limit as low as possible at least a few business days before you close the card (though the earlier you can do it the better), because credit limit that's left on the card when you close it stays unavailable to new card applications for a year or more (while credit limit that's lowered as a separate step becomes available to new card applications much sooner)!

I just applied and was approved for the personal card with a $17k CL (having never had a BoA card of any sort in the past). I then applied for the Biz card stating new biz started this year with $0 revenue, and it went to pending. Should I call recon, or is it better to wait it out?

any data on which credit bureau pulled for Alaska Airlines biz card for Southern CA (Orange County)? All credit report frozen so just want to open one.
Any data on whether Biz card counts for the 2/3/4 rule? When I log onto my B of A account, the biz card invitation to apply pops up.
TIA

Biz card approval likely if personal denial?
Fellow Alaska / B of A pros:
I was denied for Alaska personal card last week; summary reason: "adequate credit extended for accounts you HAD with B of A or its AFFILIATES."
My last ALASKA personal acct with B of A closed 9/2017.
Last business Alaska card closed 9/2017 also.
Hard inquiries: 9 TU; 2 EQ
Open CC accounts with OTHER banks: 19
Applications with B of A in last 12 mos: about 3; approvals: one (4/2017). Open accts with B of A: NONE.
Income reported: $75K
Cr scores: 725 - 760
So, is there a new "waiting period" after which you have closed a B of A account that you can not open a new account?
I understand the business side of B of A does not follow the same rules, but if I apply for biz card now, what are my odds for approval, and if low, how long should I wait?
Thanks for any RECENT experiences that can assist!

According to this thread (and its sources), new business cards are not subject to a 2/3/4 evaluation:
https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/cred...24-months.html
But it's less clear whether a BofA business card you had in the past is counted in 2/3/4 evaluations for personal cards.
And the one thing we know from that thread is that not everyone is evaluated the same. So it's hard to figure out more details about this rule from a small number of datapoints.

What exactly do you mean by "count"? There are two meanings to that: Whether a past business card is used in the 2/3/4 count when applying for a personal card (that's less clear), and whether a new business card is "subject to" a 2/3/4 evaluation.. (The same distinction is needed for Chase's 5/24: Some cards that are not subject to 5/24 still count towards 5/24 if you get them, while some cards that don't count toward 5/24 if you get them are still subject to 5/24 if you want to apply for them.)

I counted my biz card in the 2/3/4 rule. I think I am at 4 for 2 years so I wanted to know if I would be denied or not just based on the 2/3/4 rule.
Also, is it true that there won't be a hard pull if I have already reached the limit of 2/3/4?
all credit bureau frozen so not sure which to open.
Made 2 Alaska air award redemption for 2 Qantas first class tickets today so I need to replenish my Alaska account.

Biz cards, as far as we know, are not subject to 2/3/4 limits, and also, you can't get a "wrong" business card like you can with the personal Platinum. So IMHO if you're not sure where you stand with 2/;3/4, the Biz card would seem a lot a safer than the personal card.

Do I have a good chance of being approved for Marriot biz card if I state one year in biz and zero revenue or best to state 2 years and several hundred dollars revenue?

thanks, I am short of Marriott points for the hotel and airfare combo deal with Marriot. Thus I need the biz card. I have not had this b4 but had the personal Marriott.

You don't need to, but it is recommended.
From the wiki of this thread: "...be sure to lower credit limit as low as possible at least a few business days before you close the card (though the earlier you can do it the better), because credit limit that's left on the card when you close it stays unavailable to new card applications for a year or more."

DP: I applied personal card first and declined today, I called recon and she said can't approve because lots of accounts with them. I then applied for business card after few minutes and immediately approved with huge credit line. As I mentioned earlier I got approval for 3 personal cards in 2016 (all closed after reducing credit line) and applied once in 2017 but was declined for same reason.
