US Bank Reconsideration Line: 800-947-1444
Use this phone number to check your application status as well. US Bank does not send you an approval/denial email. Many data points show 8-10 business days for decision is normal. Add another 2-3 weeks after that to receive physical card.

U.S. Bank Fraud Department - 800-260-8469. This is the number to call if your card starts getting declined when you try to make a purchase.

Why is the balance due on my business card always shown as $0?
There are TWO account numbers linked to your business card: The card itself, which shows up in the same website account as any personal cards you may have. This will always show a $0 balance due.

There is a SECOND account - labeled the "Central Bill Account" - with its own account number. You must set up a separate website account with its own username and password to access the Central Bill Account. This is the account that will actually show the balance due and let you schedule a payment. Somewhere in the paperwork you received with the card or the first paper invoice, you should be able to find the Central Bill Account's number.

Setting up separate website account for business card:

These are the instructions that US Bank emailed me:

To enroll in Online Banking for your U.S. Bank Business account, start by going to usbank.com. You do not need a Personal Identification Number (PIN) in order to enroll.

Please follow these instructions to enroll in Online Banking to view or pay your account:

1. Click on the Enroll Now link on the right side of the screen.
2. Select the Business Accounts option.
3. View the Terms and Conditions and then select Enroll Now.
4. Select I do not have a U.S. Bank small business checking or savings account.
5. Select I am an authorized officer of a U.S. Bank Business Credit Card.
6. Complete Step 2 of 2.

Once you have successfully logged in, you will be able to view your business account in its entirety. When you are making a payment you will need to select the Accounts Payable account number.

Until the end of May 2015: "Bonus Award Night - Redeem Gold Points for two or more consecutive Award Nights and the last night is free. Exclusively for cardmembers.

From June 1 2015: free night after $10,000 spend in a year plus payment of annual fee. Note: can only be used in the U.S.

"New Account Bonus is not available to applicants who have had this Card or another Club Carlson credit card product within the last 12 months."

Forex fee is 3%

Can I alter the reservation via a phone call? That hotel is completely sold out for my dates and I was very, very lucky to get a room at all.

That deserves a call i think. They should be able to help you. I would call back if you don't get the desired result the first time.

Most, true, but I have to say the radisson blu in Chicago is quite impressive.

Grrr, rejected because of 7 inquiries within 12 months, first time that has been an issue for me, usually they only look at the last 6 months, be warned.

Spoke on the phone and asked for re-consideration, they will let me know in 2 days or so, but I don't have much hope at this point.

Surprised they're so strict, credit score upper 700s, never had a card with US bank, haven't had issues with Amex, Citi or Chase. I would hate to waste a hard pull for nothing.

Anybody have the card yet? How long after instant approval does it take the card to arrive? Looking to put some last minute Christmas shopping on it, but don't want to be too last minute.

Wow, 7 inquiries in 12 months.... Is that all on one bureau's report? I ask because I checked the other day and I have 7 inquiries in the past 12 months, but no more than three on any one bureau. Of course, somebody (or perhaps a bot) who looked at any of the reports carefully would be able to see that I have 7 accounts with open dates in the past year, so I hope they don't do that or I'm doomed. (Well, not so much doomed as unable to get this card.)

Actually, they apparently used some other "third-party" system that seemed to cross-check inquiries from all agencies, as I only have 4 inquiries in one, but 7 spread out. At least that's what the person on phone seemed to indicate. I'm not sure of the specifics, since it wasn't a hard pull on all three, but somehow they found signs of possible inquiries to other credit bureaus.

I would be careful with US Bank, I got burnt with the Olympics Promo and got the worthless Select card only to be told that they could upgrade my select card to the TravelPerks card when i was trying to cancel the select card but I wouldn't qualify for the sign up bonus my response to the retention CSR "so I didn't qualify for the card i applied for but now a mere 30 days later you are telling me that you can upgrade me to the card i did apply for without a hard pull yet I wont get the bonus points? You guys should call yourself NigeriaBank"

Wow, that's troubling. I guess I'm gonna have to give this one a miss, at least for a few months.

Can anyone give me their experience with this?

It's probably this: https://www.visaicsdirect.com/index.html

Whenever you apply for a Visa card, the inquiry is reported there. Most of the major issuers don't seem to check that system but US Bank sure does.

Thanks for this. According to this thread:

http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/fina...9393/?start=40

Some people are having success getting approved for US Bank cards after freezing their ICS reports from ARS (Advanced Resolution Services) and LIR (Lakeside Information Resources).

When I applied and got approved for their Olympics promo in Aug, I had like 15 (2 TU, 6 EQ, 7 EX) inquiries in the last 12 months spread across all 3 credit bureaus.

No idea what's their threshold is. Twitching to apply for this card in my next app-o-rama in few weeks.
