Some of us still earn Delta miles with this card or may want information about past or grandfathered terms and conditions.

Please do not spread panic about miles not posting until after the 10th of each month.
In most cases, miles post in the evening on the 5th of each month if it's a business day, or else the evening of the next business day. "Miles post for purchases made between (inclusive) 5th day of prior month to 4th day of current month."

I don't know what my couple folks think. One guy, at one of the stores I buy from doesn't even ask me how much anymore, just rings up a $1k MO. The other store, the girl still asks even though it's the same every time.

how is this any different then fidelity offer, deposit 100K and get 50K miles. This is still much better then fidelity as you get 48k miles with 25k deposit.

He/she was not comparing it to fidelity deal. He/she was calculating the cost.

For those of you with what I'll call "burner" accounts for MO deposits, how did you establish your pattern? And what other banking, if any, do you do at burner bank? I'm at my condo for 6 weeks and could set up a new account here to help with my MO deposits. Visit frequently throughout the year. There is a WF that allows mobile MO deposits. But I'd rather not have to worry about manufacturing other banking activities. My hope is to max out MO purchases and slowly drain over several months.

its a bit late to worry about any elaborate schemes around this card...
you have 24 days to do anything useful with, after that the amounts are minuscule.

As dsauch said, you're a little late now but I just opened an account at a local bank that only has I think 3 locations. I started out slow (only $2K or so at a time and I'd deposit another check or so when I'd do it). After a couple deposits I told the teller what I was doing with the MO and ramped it up from there. They know the date this all ends and they see me 3 times a week for large deposits of MO.

True enough with this card. But then I'm switching to other means.

Could you share where to find that 1.5% rate at HSBC? All I see are much lower rates:

In case this helps, I made a late May payment on payusatax which posted in June. My July posting has not happened yet.
