They metro map app...yeeeowie, didn't like that one.

Yeah, I planned on making use of that but my recollection was that there were some cases where public transit was not a good idea, or at least not the best idea. I am a noob. :o

Yeah, I remember something vaguely about it but I don't remember where it was. I do remember it being quite useful though.

Hey sbm12, where was that site that had all the travel information about how to get into Manhattan from the three big NYC-area airports? There is a high likelihood that I will be going up there for work sometime soon and I'd like to educate myself as to the local transport options.

NYC Airports to Manhattan

If you are going for work, your best option usually rimes with Schmaxi Schmab or Schmar Schmervice.

Wow, ORD-EWR is almost all ERJs on Saturdays.

From the strange things file. A "B" fare is cheaper than a "V" or "W". whiskey-tango?!?

What day?

Yeah, I'll likely be going into EWR on UA or JFK on B6, depending on fare and timing. The meetings aren't even scheduled yet but I like to be prepared. :-:

What's the file name (or send me a link to the actual photo on smugmug)? None of the HKG shots are from a window. I was camped out on the waterfront for those. The fireworks from PTY were out the window of the hotel room Fozz and I were in. "Are they shooting at us?" was one of the funnier moments of that trip.

I found them on page 4/5 of Buildings and Skylines. Will let you know what I decide; the fireworks shots are all too gorgeous to exclude. If I could get a fireworks shot and a night skyline, that would be :-:.

ChaCha has not gotten back to me yet.

The upgrd crew did a podcast on said topic. :)

Sure, but reading all the options written out is easier, IMO, for something like this.

Again, a decent resource but not nearly as comprehensive or detailed as the wiki noted above.

And I had nothing to do with putting that wiki together so it isn't a shameless plug; it is a completely normal plug. :p

Not for an arrival anywhere around rush hour. :-:

Even with someone else footing the bill I'd rather get on the train and get where I'm going than deal with traffic.
