My mother tries that every year. Once I caught her sneaking a glass of Pepsi and we had barely made it to noon on Ash Wednesday. Shame.

Trinidad!

The Popocateptl is not in Canada, rather in Mexico, Mexico, Mexico...

Please tell me that rings a bell for SOMEONE in here!

I feel like I tried Shiner Bock (it was everywhere in Baton Rouge) and didn't like it. Blasphemy? :o

OH -- beer and wine at grocery stores, liquor at state stores
MA -- (at the time) beer, wine, liquor at liquor stores
NY -- beer at grocery stores, wine and liquor at wine stores
SC -- beer and wine at grocery stores, liquor at liquor stores
PA -- beer at distributors, wine and liquor at state stores

And then there's the sixth set:

LA -- beer, wine, liquor at grocery stores, Wal-Marts, CVS, drive-throughs, you name it...

Heh, it figures that it would be dramatically cheaper to fly into SAT the weekend of April 10 than it is to fly into AUS.

It find it odd in GRK there is a drive through daiquiri bar but driving with an open container is illegal in TX....how EXACTLY does this work?!

lids allow straws.....straws allow drinking hence open to being 'open container' to over zealous police..

btw on 10th, I should be able to bring the cheese. Other date I'd be coming in from FLL/MIA and unable, so that 10th looks good.

What is up with that? I've been trying to get a ticket to NYC and Travelocity always pops up "fly from SAT for $13,689 less". Ok, well maybe $120 less.. but it is irritating.

I have not purchased one but my understanding is that they use a slightly more solid lid with no straw hole.

Let's see, ALCO encouraged my stupidity last March and I ended up in HNL a couple days after flying back from the UK. I had half the box "encourage" me for the JFK-PTY-MEX a few weeks ago (ok a room full of Fters foaming at the mouth over that one would have convinced people who hate to fly to have jumped on it)

:( I tell you what, though, when sfogate is able to organize the calendar, I will likely have to head up to EWR and we'll be sure to get together.

We are waiting for nicer weather and permission.

At least in BR, the word on the street was if the straw had been punched through the lid, it was an open container; if not, it was perfectly safe to stick in your car's drink holder and drive away. (I never was put into a situation to have the veracity of this rule confirmed or denied, though. :D)

Just FYI, it seems a little cheaper to get to AUS on the weekend of April 10 out of PDX, but I dunno if that is an option for you.
