if the freezer portion were about 6 inches higher it would not be much of an issue either, but it is quite low as it is.

As to the freezer question, I agree. I have a bottom frezzer unit in my apartment. Since I use my freezer mainly to frost beer mugs, I like having the 'fridge contents up higher. I am embarrassed to admit I have no experience with side-by-side models. :o

There is a bit of history behind the Come and Take It flag. It has nothing to do with secession or radical right wingers.

Put me in the camp that does not grok side by side refrigerators. They always seem small, everything is hard to get to, and woe to the unit that has an ice maker/water dispenser in the door. Those freezer spaces are practically nil. :td:
