First Co-Pilot was fine, I knew the toll way and the lower half of the city, never been to the upper half until he got lost! :)

As to negotiations, getting directions at some places would have been easier had we known the local language. But then again had we known the way to the locks, we probably would not have found said lunch place or the causeway for Mrs. Brit!!

As I've got no co-pilot this trip, I believe I'm going to forgo getting a car. I'm thinking poolside layover would be about my speed

Congrats on the LAX-PTy upgrade. That one seems to be the hardest one in the system from the US. You will get the amenty kit so cherish that as it is a usefully bag. Just bring dollars or CCs with you. If you get a car bring coins for tolls. I dont think any taxis take CCs though. Pesos are needed for MEX though. We did go to the Athropology museum in MEX and had a great time. Walked through the park and then had tacos at a taco stand where our spanish did get us into a little trouble. We thought she said 2 tacos for 10 pesos but it was 2 types of tacos to choose from for 10 pesos each. Still not a bad deal!

The museums in the city of Mexico are free to locals and residents. We had thought they were free to all from what we had heard. Still not bad as the museum was 54 pesos and the audio was 75 pesos. We did without the audio, some signs in english but most of the objects were neat to look at!

I hear the organized tour is 4 hours and a little over rated. You may be better off hiring a car and go to the canal and have them drop you at a hotel afterwards for the pool stuff!! It is nice weather there year round from what I gathered on the trip.

Great pics!! I only been to that track for a food show and to do the Richard Petty Driving experience. I averaged 139 on 8 laps around the track. The drive home was slow for me but that was because I was trying to stay within the speedlimit at 70 MPH. I have heard that the traffic has gotten better though from the track.

They have a very tired menu after making so many flights in 2 days. Even more tiring IFE considering CO was showing exactly the same things. I think the LeBron documentary was on 5 times for me this weekend.

I think we were the exception to the rule of catering and IFE. After two weekends in a row, I will make sure to book different months in the future so as to not have this problem again. I no to not order the beef and the chicken while good got old after 4 times. The ice cream sundaes however did not!!

Finally, while getting off the plane, a military guy of about 20 who swore he knew all about flying, was chewing out the captain in the F galley area for "flying us through unsafe conditions." While the turbulence was rough at times, it was far from the worst I've ever experienced. In fact, it was pretty smooth compared to some of my recent ERJ and Saab flights. This guy was demanding the captain's name so he could "report him to the airline, the FAA, and the President." :rolleyes:

On the plus side, I ended up in a brand new Buick Enclave for my rental car. It had 4.7 miles on it when I started the engine.

At least you got the nice car for once. Wonder if they now have you tagged at MSY!!

After a long second nap today/yesterday I am feeling a little back to normal. Will now head back to bed for a short sleep and wake up at a normal time.
