Just looking at taking a friend next year, not this year :) I just like Panama after the visit and want to spend a little more than 9 hours there next time. And sharing it with a good friend that is graduating from her college 'life', would be a great thing.

What I learned from last weekend's JFK-PTY-MEX trip (in no particular order):
1: Steph3n could be a cab driver in PTY...he already knows the secret turn-arounds that they use. :p 2: When attempting to navigate Panama City, don't turn down the map offered by Avis to instead use a tourist map that's about as useful as a coloring book. 3: Any well-intentioned SMS message from a Boxer warning about impending doom will be seen as a joke and replied to as such...even if it's completely serious (thanks for looking out for us Olton Hall) 4: CM uses time-of-purchase as the battlefield UG tie-breaker and not time-of-checkin. This meant that I was able leapfrog the whole group to become #1 on the list for every flight this trip but will be #3 for my next run. :( 5: Everyone snores. (I know...this was already discussed but it really sounded like 18-wheelers downshifting on the expressway....especially on the last flight when everyone really could have used some shuteye. 6: Ice cream sundays are YUMMEH and don't get old....even after the 3rd one! 7: FT Lurker should work for Terminix 8: Scott6067 likes a version of Bingo that I'm unfamiliar with. 9: The term "wobbly-bonkers" sounds far better coming out of brituchenite's mouth than anyone else's. 10: AMEX lounge dragons are easily swayed by a smile, charm, and just the right amount of goofiness. 11: Scott6067 can sleep ANYWHERE (picture forthcoming) 12: Mexican street performers love people from "Nueva York" and get a bit upset when they're ignored by them. 13: FT Lurker's contact lens cleaning solution is made of deadly poison. 14: Robert (our newest addition) can MR with the best of 'em!! (Welcome to Teh Box!!!!) 15: The room configuration at the MEX Hilton is "2 Queens and a -away" 16: I'd rather travel with the people of Teh Box than with the finest people in the world!! :D :p :-: Scott6067, FT Lurker, Steph3n, brituchenite, and Robert: Thank you for making my first MR (and first passport stamps in 8 years) memorable. I had a blast and am looking forward to my next opportunity to travel with y'all! And with that, I bid you all good night. |

Box wave from 2B onboard CM303
Interesting boarding as the GA roamed around, looking for those needing a bit of extra time, then primero class-which is full. Load in back is mucho light Some very pretty scenery onboard Scott the hardshell kits were laid out on the seats. Blankets and pillows too. 2A put on his lovely blue copa socks and proceeded to plant feet firmly on bulkhead I was asked to bring a smaller carryon " next time" Push back is near See y'all WW |

Don't recall if I mentioned upon my return from SJC but I really like the new gate that CO uses at SJC!! It is nice to have a good boarding area for seating and boarding. Security line is also vastly improved over years past at SJC. Now if CO or its partners could get a could lounge product there!

Was reading a FAs blog and came accross a post that was about the FAAC or the Flight Attendant Appreciation Club. This is a club that was formed by a traveler to give appreciation to crews by handing out chocolates. While the concept of the club is cool ^, the requirement for membership is a litte odd (box of Sees candy given to the crew) :td:!
Baglady, told me about this concept as well (not of FAAC) and I have tried to do it many times on flights. It is amazing what a few chocolates can do to brighten ones day!! I also have given out chips on a delayed flight to the FAs as I know they don't make anything when the plane doesn't fly! This is a cool concept and can be rewarding on many levels. ;) |
