Does UA authorize incidental spend the way CO does? CO used to be $50/day for elites up to 5 days at which point the bags were fully gone and you could claim replacement costs.

Not sure. I would assume it depends on what was delayed, where you are and what you need and what time we expect your bag to arrive; ie from the forwarding messages.

In SYD, Franny's bag did not make the change in SFO and the agent immediately told her that they would be on the next day's flight and would be delivered to the hotel. In the meanwhile, he volunteered, this voucher for A$150 should hold her over until then.

As we started to walk to the taxi line, I realized that the three young guys in front of me whose bags had also misconnected in SFO had been offered nothing and had started their discussion about where to stay as they left.

Does anyone think that there might have been a difference in treatment between the two parties based on our FC ticket? :rolleyes:

I use to sell them suntan lotions and perfumes, in my prior life. I don't remember them carrying any undergarments. Just alot of cheap t-shirts, food, drinks and touristy stuff.
