I'm working from home tomorrow, so maybe I'll make a run to the best nearby beer distributor. If they have a case, we can split it.

I bought a case of Flying Fish last weekend (made in Cherry Hill) and their Belgian-style Dubbel and ESB are pretty good.

I'm in for a case split; thanks. ^^ Call or text me. Full Mass funeral at 11am, so I'm guessing I'll be out of there about 3 hours from the 12th of never.

I think there are about three grocery stores in the entire Commonwealth where you can buy beer. Otherwise, it's a beer distributor (cases only), deli (six-packs only), or bar (six-packs only).

I have lived in five states with five separate sets of liquor laws:

OH -- beer and wine at grocery stores, liquor at state stores
MA -- (at the time) beer, wine, liquor at liquor stores
NY -- beer at grocery stores, wine and liquor at wine stores
SC -- beer and wine at grocery stores, liquor at liquor stores
PA -- beer at distributors, wine and liquor at state stores

ETA I also lived in Belgium for a year, where you could buy anything alcoholic in a grocery store.

NJ maps closest to MA given that list - the line in the sand between liquor stores and grocers is large and inviolable....ETA: there are rare cases (Wegmans and the Trader Joe's in Westfield comes to mind) but no signs of booze coming to regular grocery stores.

That's definitely the weekend I've got free. Copa Run No. 2 is the following weekend.

Hmm, if that is better for you guys and better for Herr Otter, that may be more viable. I'll let a few others chime in and get that finalized in a day or so.

If the airfare's drop low enough on Tuesday (I'm sure they jumped today for the weekend) I might be stupid and be up for this. (10th that is)

:( I tell you what, though, when sfogate is able to organize the calendar, I will likely have to head up to EWR and we'll be sure to get together.
