I don't think I'll ever drop SPG as a primary, unless they gut the program/benefits - too many great hotels in far-flung places that I find appealing. IMHO, the only other chain that has such exotic properties in odd locales is Accor (mainly Novotels and Sofitels). |

It does look like the Summerfield here at the Galleria is pretty cheap on weekends, though. I may end up stocking up on some promo 5K bonuses. ^ |

As a purely leisure traveler, SPG properties (existing or planned) in locations like Urubamba, Ulaanbaatar, El Calafate, Isle of Pines (New Caledonia), Split, Queenstown, Seychelles, Mauritius, etc., are what attract me to the SPG currency.
