It's apparently pretty common. Someone at the RCC desk in SNA on Sunday was complaining that they were denied entry because they didn't have their PClub card with them.

The guy complained that he "thought he was flying CO, so he didn't bring his card, as they can just look it up*." I asked the woman at the desk how often that happens and she told me at least once an hour.

THIS JUST IN: A woman just walked into my office and "fluffed" my plant. I'm intrigued and very unsettled by this.

*no, that excuse doesn't really make excuse to me either.

I am sure it does. This is the same person, which I am convinced sent herself four bouquets of flowers for her birthday, delivered to work.

I detest Bank of America but for various reasons I am sort of trapped into using them for checking accounts. The only redeeming factor is that copies of all checks and deposit slips are always available on their website.

There has to be a line where fare ceases to matter. I think charging for carryons is it.

I don't think anyone will follow in the US.

The whole think is crazy IMO. In essence, you can travel on our plane, but you cannot take anything with you or it is an additional charge.

What do you do with them when you're done reading them? Unless a book is really good or a favorite, I can't have it sitting around collecting dust. Then I take them to Half Price Books and feel like I'm getting ripped off (I feel that way on Half.com too).

Last time I went to half price books I sold what originally cost around $300 for... wait for it... $20. I have a Kindle but still have a stack of read books - which will be donated to a library, shelter or other charitable entity.

Well there's probably a happy ground between 5 seconds and 24 hours that makes sense, no? ;)

Bank of America thinks that ground is at 10 minutes.

I've given up on Half Price and will just donate to a library from now on.

The one thing keeping me from getting a Kindle is the fact that I have to re-buy things that I have already purchased on Amazon.com (in physical format).
