I don't know. Legacy airlines seem to have realized that there is pretty clear line in the sand where customers take notice and alter booking habits. Reference: AA (Eagle) and US crossing with the selling sodas thing.

This is a much more egregious breach of that line and I expect it to not gain traction amongst legacies.

I hope you're right. There are still a couple of EU carriers that charge for sodas if I remember correctly.

I'm listening to two of my colleagues in the cubes on the other side of me talking about their extensive business travel experience. Yet it was a total shock to one of them when the flight he booked on CO turned out to be on UA metal. Painful...

Lowe's was very specifically designed to appeal to women more than HD. My fiancee swears by them, apparently also because their pricing seems to be better on most everything. At least that's what she tells me.

For me, it's a matter of distance. HD is about 6-7 minutes door-to-door. Lowes is 15 or so.

For basics, I stick with HD. Lowes' products seem to be slightly nicer, and at least by me, they have a better-stocked electrical department (at least in terms of stuff I need, as opposed to breakers and boxes for new service installs).

I think JK still does on their base fares. Honestly, I agree with this model (also reference Air Canuck).

If someone wants to buy the $50 seat and wants to choose everything a la carte, then let them. If someone is forced into buying a higher fare, or knows they will utilize enough services that they want to buy a bundled package -- then let them.

It's the charging people $1,000 to fly somewhere and then gouging them for a soda that drives the 10% of fliers who generate the 90% of airline's revenue away.

We can hope!!!!!!!

I was hoping an FA I know would get the in flight entertainment position (he applied and really wanted it) because he thought the movies and tv shows sucked as much as we do. Sadly, it didn't happen.

The easiest way to make change is from the inside. I even have a really cool thought on an idea to pitch to in the interview.

What exactly were you going to do with them? Put them in formaldehyde in a decorative vase? I can send you bl jr's if that helps you; I wasn't planning on saving them for anything ;) (actually, they are lasered out so not sure there will be anything there)

This reminds me of a video some friends of mine shot while they were going through an old hospital in Jersey City before they turned it into luxury condos. There were all kinds of body parts in glass jars filled with formaldehyde. It was very creepy to watch.

Generally, yes.
