Rep. Johnson is next. Hopefully CO bans him for his stupid comments about Guam and then, poor baby, he won't be there when the island does capsize.

That was the first of three trips to Home Depot in a 24 hour period. Thankfully I have been able to curb that activity somewhat since then.
Our house needed a fair amount of stuff done when we bought it - in either '05 or '06, I reviewed my credit card records - I had made something like 100 total transactions there. |

I seem to remember operating a beverage stand in conjunction with a garage sale we had when I was a kid. It was over 100 degrees and I made close to $20 :) |

TG is dry-leasing some 9W 77Ws. Looks like you have some very nice options for travel to Thailand, assuming you can find the inventory.

I've been turning to the NFL Network... a lot, lately. Some of these classic games are ^. And, now that I am home, NFL Live on ESPN has been a staple of my TV diet.
I do not want holes in my roof. Nay, I will mount the dish on the eve with a small extender. But most of the, "professional" installers won't do it that way. So I dunno what to do. I'd go to a bar but they all allow smoking here; that was one of the few nice things about California. |

My personal "best" was 5 HD visits in a single day during a tiling project. I'm always forgetting stuff.

Yes. In my home office, on a shelf. Tonsils in a jar. And they would also migrate to any work office I might have...it lets people know when they walk in what to expect.

Quite possibly one of the most evocative words ever. ^^
Many years ago, I was an HR Director for a Law Firm in the City of London. As such, I sat on the salaries committee, which was always headed by the Managing Partner of the Year. My firm had about 450 people - 50+/- partners, maybe about 120 associate lawyers, about 100 +/- secretaries and the rest were support staff of differing descriptions. The year I was pregnant with my elder daughter proved to be my last with the firm - my choice - due to the, what I consider, egregious attitude of the managing partner that year. I am sure I was somewhat "hormonal" being 3 months pregnant while sitting in committee, but when it came to deciding on the salary increases for the secretaries, (bearing in mind we had given HUGE increases to the associates and some support staff), he huffed and puffed and grunted "God, they are such irritating necessities, given them the basic increase" and with that he closed the meeting. I was both speechless and furious. I walked out of the meeting, made an appointment to "visit" with him, met with him, told him what I thought of his disgusting comment, and resigned, effective when my maternity leave ended (so he legally had to pay me for my maternity leave :D). I have never forgotten that statement. It was so demeaning to those girls that worked so hard for the firm. And, I got to spend time with my new baby without feeling guilty about giving up work! |
