Time to finally give in and buy a new TV after AMEX basically paid for the broken one we've been able to get by on for the past 11 months. Would you get a 46" LED or a 55" LCD. Prices are about the same. Im done with Plasma.

Gotta get dressed and head to teh zoo. Theater and a ballroom event tonight; should be a calorie-incinerator.

LED. It's better w/ power, gives a better picture, re: blacks. I would go w/ the 46" LED vs. the 55" LCD. What brand are you looking at?

If so, look out for the big Lego display. My friend built it and has been setting it up for the last two weeks. Not sure if it's open yet, but it may be. |

No idea. Want to keep the expense under $1500. Any suggestions?
I've also heard very good things about the Vizio LED panels and believe they are lit by LEDs behind the panel. My best suggestion would be to go look at a few different models in person (preferably at a proper home theater store where they will have proper lighting) and see what looks best to you. ETA: Just noticed that the Samsung model I have has been replaced by the UN46C6300. If the newer model is lit by LEDs behind the panel, I'd give that model a serious look... |

She should strive to lose weight. How anyone can look at her as a role model is beyond me! I'm sure she's sweet, but she's disgusting to look at.
Perhaps the "role model" piece could be that despite what you look like, if you have talent, determination, etc. then you can achieve success? In a world where Hollywood is obsessed with weight - ie. the lack of - I find it quite refreshing to see that someone of her size is actually being acknowledged and accepted as a deserving individual because of her talent and not her looks. There are so many stick thin actresses, that in my mind are equally as "disgusting" to look at because they are sending the wrong message to millions of young girls across the country that to be "valued" or considered "beautiful" you have to be stick thin. You have a beautiful, beautiful young daughter. Think about the messages you want to send her. Think about the biases that exist in this world. If she grew up to be overweight (either through her own fault or through other reasons) wouldn't you still love and adore her? Wouldn't you still want her to be valued for who she is and not what she looks like? If you subtly (or less subtly) send her the message that "fat" is disgusting, think about the potential ramifications of that. I'm not disagreeing with you that the actress is certainly very obese, and would probably look a whole lot better if she lost 200lbs, but sometimes it's just not that easy. |

I haven't been to either, but I believe the B FCL offers the car transfer service while the A FCL does not.
I definitely will be using the FCT on this itin, but want to check out one or both of the FCL's, as well. |
