Looks like a pig will put on some lipstick. Will the lipstick work? In my eyes... NO!

Interesting observation on gender differences amongst high school singers...

One of the choirs I conduct is the large (non-auditioned) mixed ensemble, which numbers about 80 total (balance is about 50 women/30 men, which is not all that bad). We generally have one (1.5 hr) rehearsal together per week, in addition to one hour for men and one hour for women separately.

I've found that the girls are more consistent, but when the boys are "on," they're better. Wonder what conclusions one can draw from all this.

I should! Got a couple in NYC (mostly Brooklyn) in the later spring...as for this month, anyone want to come see a high school production (albeit a fairly high-quality/production-value one) of Grease? :p

+1, my friend. 3 am was a totally normal bedtime during college and I had a church singing job with downbeat at 8:25 am 4 out of 5 days a week. And I got sick once in four years.

Alas, sorry I missed your post (and resulting PWP)! I live 10 minutes from there...we could have met up for lunch or something.

I am so glad I never have to worry about getting  for either going on a MR and/or blowing off Valentine's Day. In fact, tjtenor4 and his college buddies have been doing "Bromance in YYZ" for the last couple of years (one of them lives there) and I have no interest in meddling with that sacred ritual. :p

I've always loved how it's officially called "THE Gambia." Kind of like "THE Ohio State University", etc...

I still have a prepaid reservation in DC tomorrow night. I doubt that will get used, so I hope they have the same flexibility when I need to cancel/move.

I have prepaid reservations at SPG properties in DC for both Friday and Saturday, and honestly, that's the #1 thing worrying me about not getting there tomorrow. I'm OK (well, mostly) with sitting at home alone for a three-day weekend, but $150 down the  is going to suck.

Indeed. Especially if he came back with some signed deals or some such goodness.

If you don't make it down there, give the properties a call and explain that you can't make it due to the weather. They may allow you to cancel your reservations or at least move them to a different day.
