Where 59 struggles now is north of town and the ditch right before downtown.

P.S. - Roads, city planning, etc. really interest me. I love just staring at maps.

Actually, it stretches up to College Station now. I actually know people who live here and work in Houston. that's just messed up!

Nah...but I love me some interstate highways. I actually wrote a paper on the history of the program in 11th grade as part of a scholarship contest for the local branch of the Public Works union. It was a guaranteed win as I was the only entrant (friend's father was the guy running the show). I won the state level, too, which I understand actually had multiple entries. :D

I put a resume in at AAA to be the hotel inspector for Arizona. Mentioning that at Dupont (in an interview-correct context while discussing Diamond standards) earned me a reply of  - I don't think they saw that coming.

I just learned even numbered interstates are supposed to have exit numbers west to east. ;)

We don't follow the rule well here in NC

Yep, all of those interstates should be considered spurs I think. http://www.c-cproductions.org/sa/emo...ot-colbert.gif

I think that 540 is valid. Here in Houston it's I-610.

You say this like your penchant for copious alcohol consumption is a thing of the past. ;)

Reminds me of the story at Tropicana about the grandparents saying their granddaughter was not bright enough to handle a task I asked of her. I moved all of my lightly used files off this laptop recently; I'll have to dig that one up for you.
