Actually, no! I was in 3A (if it's a short flight I sometimes just do front-of-plane because, honestly, I don't feel the lack of legroom the way that many of y'all do).

Had an e-mail from my boss this morning saying we "had to talk" :eek:

I just got off the phone with her a few minutes ago and found out that my responsibilities are being increased to include more of a "national presence" ^ It's going to be made official on our conference call this afternoon but essentially, the higher-up's want to take advantage of my skill set and success with a task I was given a few years ago to drive the business.

I'm not sure if you can call this a true "promotion" since my title isn't changing but it's certainly some more responsibility, a show of the confidence they have in me, and a chance to book some flights on equipment other than ERJ's, Q400's, Amtrak, and my car.

Ooohhh, thank you for the heads up. The problem is basically this:

We own a week at Marriott Desert Springs in PSP and have been going there since 1993. However, last year the parents booked the wrong week (aka, rather than the week that both my sister and I were on spring break, a week that NEITHER of us were off) and by the time they got around to calling to change it, there was no more availability on the property for the desired week.

At that point I asked them to rebook somewhere else - MCO, LAS, anywhere that there was a Marriott timeshare property - rather than "waiting around to see if something opens up" because if it doesn't, then... :rolleyes: I have asked them, asked them emphatically (each blames someone else, including me, for dropping the ball), sent strongly-worded emails (ignored), etc. This has been going on since Christmas. :mad: I wanted to turn the trip into a segment run if possible...tjtenor4 wanted to come along...now both of those things are highly unlikely because, barring a last-minute fluke deal, this is getting priced out of range more and more by the day.

This isn't the first time this has happened, btw, and inevitably I will get a frantic phone call a week out going "how can you get all five of us plane tickets?" The answer is, by paying a ridiculous amount of money that none of us ought to be spending because it was SO NOT NECESSARY.
