It smells like cakes baking in my office. It's making me very hungry.

I just got off the phone with her a few minutes ago and found out that my responsibilities are being increased to include more of a "national presence" ^ It's going to be made official on our conference call this afternoon but essentially, the higher-up's want to take advantage of my skill set and success with a task I was given a few years ago to drive the business.

I'm not sure if you can call this a true "promotion" since my title isn't changing but it's certainly some more responsibility, a show of the confidence they have in me, and a chance to book some flights on equipment other than ERJ's, Q400's, Amtrak, and my car.

Nice going. At least you get some more flights on something other than the Q's

I will have to look at the February coupon book (unless the coupons in January's book are still valid).

Honestly, the last thing I want is to be put on IAD-SFO on UA

They'd put us on a PS flight in F - no problem. :p :D

Yep - youth hockey group gets to skate during intermission.

Yeah, DCA and IAD did not do very well during the 17"-inch snowstorm a few weeks ago (i.e., they both were closed). We got six inches last Saturday, however, and they did well.

Very nice! Time to start decorating the left-hand side of the FlightMemory. :D

Steve and I both get to get a southern jaunt in this month, not quite southern hemisphere, but very close ;)

Nice. I would like to do the all-stadia thing for the NHL and visit each one once. IIRC I'm at 5 of 30 - NJ, PHI, FLA, ATL, ANH.

Interesting...I just did a quick count off the top of my head and I think I'm at 16. My business traveling has helped this a lot. Well, since I'm more than halfway I might as well go see them all.

That's mechanic speak for we busted the bolt, now we have to re-thread it and that's going to take a little longer than we thought.

I've worked on some components and the steel used in said Ford's bolts (but not frame) is very prone to rusting - I had to drill out the screws for the license plate lamp covers after both lights blew out on the rear plate.

A middle seat on a 6.5 hour flight wasn't that bad when I got rerouted. :D

At least it opens up some mileage earning "opportunities."
