The mohel tried to convince us that the kid wasn't really feeling pain. I don't care. It looks like it hurts and it creeps me out.

Fortunately everything went perfectly and there was a bottle of Johnnie Walker Gold to sip from after so we all relaxed just fine. Not going to help so much with my needing to be at work in a couple hours, but still a good thing.

Since EUA'able was a requirement, LIM is likely our best candidate.

There is a nice SFO-LIM fare still lingering, so we could do EWR-SFO-EWR-LIM-IAH-SFO-EWR. :D

PHL/LGA-SFO at either end adds a lot more miles. ;)

For those in NYC or going that way this looks like a great place to stay the night even though points may not be involved!

Just got this via email from someone...

British Airways has recently implemented a surcharge of $140.00 per
round trip that applies to passengers without frequent flyer status.
I suggest that everyone with tentative plans to travel to the UK,
sign-up for their frequent flyer program to avoid the extra cost. If
you don't have status your seat will be assigned 24 hours prior to
departure, but this could result in being bumped if the plane is
oversold. I've attached a link for you to sign-up.

Click Here for BA Executive Club Link
Doesn't actually seem to be true but it is entertaining. It actually sounds like someone is combining the paid seat assignment issues with being a BAEC member and misunderstanding the exemption that being elite provides. Still, it is great to see how  can spread out there.

Hi box.

I went in tonight to work an overnight shift.. to find out I've been fired.

I get why they do what they do with regards to termination - but jeeze, having me drive in at 11pm to hand me payout and send me packing? I hated the job so i likely fully deserved it - just annoyed.

Bleh, maybe i'll use the cash to buy a last minute fare somewhere. First time i've been fired though, so considering it's the day after my 27th birthday i'd say that's not too shabby of a record.

Ugh! Well, I was called in on my day off to let me know I was fired. At least they paid me 8 hours for my call-in. Sorry to hear. I hope you land on your feet... faster than me.

Oh that's just frickin wonderful. I tried to buy lunch and my debit card was declined. I came back to look at my Chase account and figure out what was going on, magically there is $800 missing. There are three charges for downloadable software that I did not buy. Some butt-trumpet has stolen my credit card info from my web host and gone on a foxtrotting shopping spree.:mad::mad::mad:

Chase Fraud Prevention saw the stuff and put a hold on the account. I called them and now have a new card on its way, but this is particularly  given that I'm closing on a motherloving house this afternoon.

<-- Not a happy camper.

I had someone steal my Chase CC info and started charging to Apple's MobileMe service. Thankfully, Chase caught it after the 1st charge and even called me to tell me.

And, for the poop reference of the day - I just changed my daughter's diaper and skunks left the area because the smell was so bad.

In other news, the steak marinade is finished. Pics soon to come. :-:

Also in the shocking the hell out of myself department, I pulled an A- in the aforementioned online economics course. Two graduate credits and a nice boost to my overall GPA for admission reasons. I owe in an unspeakable amount of personal gratitude to icurhere2, who turned me on to the course vendor.

Creeps me out too. And it does hurt.

No problem at all, as economic awareness is very high on my personal priority list. I try to assist the FT community when I can and have even offered to use some of my connections to explore for potential job leads in Tennessee and D.C-ish regions.
