aloha box. :-:

Sorry to hear about the job KNRG, but if you hated it then it's for the best. No one wins when an employee doesn't like their job.

Hi box.

I went in tonight to work an overnight shift.. to find out I've been fired.

I get why they do what they do with regards to termination - but jeeze, having me drive in at 11pm to hand me payout and send me packing? I hated the job so i likely fully deserved it - just annoyed.

Sorry to hear it. Hopefully the next one is something you truly enjoy.

Since EUA'able was a requirement, LIM is likely our best candidate.

There is a nice SFO-LIM fare still lingering, so we could do EWR-SFO-EWR-LIM-IAH-SFO-EWR. :D

I am listening.....

Bleh, maybe i'll use the cash to buy a last minute fare somewhere. First time i've been fired though, so considering it's the day after my 27th birthday i'd say that's not too shabby of a record.

Sorry to hear this, but if the job was that :td::rolleyes:, then you are better off in the long run. Definitely take that flight, you deserve it.

So.. clicking round the 'net I found one of those silly personality tests.. this one entitled the "Why do other people hate you?" test.

I once got told on a performance review that people at work didn't like me because I didn't stop in the halls or hang out in the pantry and talk to them. Apparently, this was the only negative thing they could find, and as I found out later it was unofficial company policy that no one got a perfect review.

At the risk of getting booted from teh Box, I've never done a MR. If I ever lose my job, I'm gonna be in big trouble.

You can count me in on a LIM jaunt if it's on my weekend off.

I had some tailwinds last night too. Must've been the Chinese food. ;)

That cereal for dinner tore me up. Lots of wind with dangerous gusts.

I have post #1,000 in Teh Box, and I did my first MR this past December. No worries. ^

Morning, Box. Mega-Courics of stuff to do already this morning...I gave myself the rest of the day off in light of having finished the Economics project, and that was a mistake. The list grew without me adding anything to it.

I'm at the bottom end of that skill curve. Were I crazy enough to sell that LIM trip to my other half, and I could actually go, it would be at that point that I call fozz and give him my OnePass and AmEx numbers.

I hate performance reviews. If an employee isn't performing to the level that is expected, don't you think that such a matter should be brought up before the annual performance review? Yet seldom it is....

Performance reviews are nothing more than a way for HR (or one's managers, or both) to feel like they have coverered themselves nicely in an occasionally sensitive area should a lawsuit be forthcoming.

And did you respond by saying that you didn't like the people at work because they are too busy socializing and not actually working?

I'm a card-carrying member of teh Box (put it on the back of my SPG card :D) and I've never done a MR.

If I lose my job or get one that doesn't involve travel then elite status won't mean  to me. Or so I say today.

Or just go to CO.com, put SFO in one box and LIM in the other and click Search. ;)

Nah. If anything goes wrong, I want to be able to say that I was booked by the Wizard and that there's no place like home, so get me there. :D:D:D

sdm1130 Jan 20, 2010 8:20 am

It looks like the SFO-LIM fare can also be routed through PTY on the outbound (SFO-IAH-PTY-LIM) for $491+ ($476+ if you route through PTY both ways). It's probably just a CO.com error, but it says the PTY-LIM and LIM-PTY segment books in to First (O).
