Agreed on both counts. I read the Sunday travel section just to torture myself.

All dried out and ready for teh basement. As of this moment, it is being set tomorrow. But, of course, that can change at any time.... Do you want to come and watch? I don't know what time it is happening, but I doubt it will be before 8am and I'm sure they are going to be taking all day to do it. They have to do someething with the crushed stone first - tampit down or something - so I expect the walls won't be flown until mid-late morning. You have my cell phone number - right? Text me yours, and I'll call you when I know a more definite time, and you can come on over and have dunkin and watch the action.

For whatever reason, I just associate Wawa with NJ (Southern NJ to be specific).

It's too bad I'm in Edison, NJ, today and not tomorrow, because I would gladly sneak away for 30 minutes to see a basement being installed. |

Are you staying at the Sheraton?
I'm in for dinner/drinks on Friday evening. IIRC, the train gets in to PRG around 7-ish, so we could meet around 8 at the Sheraton if you guys want... |

Budvar is one of the lousiest Czech beers. It's called Czechvar here in the U.S., and can be found at most high-end liquor stores and grocery chains (Whole Foods carries it). The good stuff is Staropramen, Breznak and Krušovice are the good stuff. They have varieties over there (Dark ales, special high-alcohol brews, cask-ales) that are virtually impossible to find outside of the Czech Republic.
We're headed over at the right time of year, too. They have some dark, malty ales that are perfect for warming you up during frosty weather - puts Porters to shame. |
