Hilarious - under "Other" -> "Government Services", there's over $30k on my year-end summary ... And this wasn't the only card I used last year.
This reminds me, my company switched over to a new expense reporting system last year and now my Corp. Amex is paid directly by the company. I never got a year end summary, and I don't seem to have the option in my account online to view it. Anyone know if this is standard? |

Only 33% of my AmEx spend last year was on travel, and another 11% on transportation (half of which was spent on gas). I feel this number was too  for last year.
* "Government Services" inflated total spend, * "Travel" happened to have included AmEx Traveler's Checks. |

Budvar is one of the lousiest Czech beers. It's called Czechvar here in the U.S., and can be found at most high-end liquor stores and grocery chains (Whole Foods carries it). The good stuff is Staropramen, Breznak and Krušovice are the good stuff. They have varieties over there (Dark ales, special high-alcohol brews, cask-ales) that are virtually impossible to find outside of the Czech Republic.
We're headed over at the right time of year, too. They have some dark, malty ales that are perfect for warming you up during frosty weather - puts Porters to shame. Hope the porcelain gods are ready. |

My AmEx says 12% Travel and 3% Transportation but:

My main account states I spent $18 on Entertainment for the year - that was my ticket to the High Museum of Art in Atlanta to see the Last Emperor exhibit. AmEx helpfully tells me this was "<1%" of annual spend.

Looking at our AMEX year end summary always scares me. :o
While use of the corporate AmEx card is strongly encouraged by the company, it's by no means mandatory (I have a colleague who had a falling-out with AmEx about 10 years ago, cut up his corp card, and put everything on an NW credit card. He was spending $50-75K/year on travel, so beaucoup miles! Of course, they're now DL miles, which I'd imagine has him a bit  now). |
Spent $1.07 in restaurants for the entire 4th quarter on this AmEx ;)
