That can be a three-hour trip from these parts -- at least it has been for me, since the Amtrak and LIRR schedules don't sync very well.

When I hit JFK, I almost always take the E train (as long as luggage is minimal). No worrying about schedules synching up, it runs express through Queens, and it's only $2.25.

As far as getting to NYP, I guess living near Princeton Junction has it's advantages. Of course I guess to do it on the cheap, I could park at Exchange Place in Jersey City for free on the weekend, take the PATH to WTC, and jump on the E there.

Maybe thats "twice upon a time"?

Last year, I had a 2+ hour runway sit from LAX-SFO on AA. I was in F and got hammered -- folks always ask me, why would you upgrade on that route? Well...

Or sitting in a bar in HKG at 10:30p and watching it.

I did "off-hours" work for a client during brunch in HKG one day. That was fun. Getting paid overtime rates while on my normal clock is always a good thing.

The Qs are coming. 2x daily to Monterrey

I've never flown that line  I did have to use the stairs on a "Super-80" on a LAX-SJC after a malfunction.

+1

There's a Holiday Inn Express right across the street from the account I service in Brookville but I'd rather stay at the Hampton and drive 20 minutes each way.

Yikes!!

Good luck. What type of law are you practicing? I may know a few folks.

baglady jr and I flew EAR-DEN-IAH over New Year's weekend.

We had the whole last row in the back of the puddle jumper and she slept the whole flight. ^

In DEN we partook of the popcorn. I highly recommend it.

My most memorable SFO-LAX trip was one when I was in coach (seat 21 A), and flight attendants were serving me a drink. Pilot announced "flight attendants please prepare for landing" and FA said s&%#!. FA then came over and told me we were having an emergency landing in Bakersfield and was I prepared to open exit door?

We landed safely with 25 fire trucks along runway. There was a fire sensor that went off in baggage compartment. We went from 33,000 feet to wheels down in 8 minutes.

FA came by and gave me my $5 back for the drink. ^

CO fares to ATL have gone  in the past 24 hours for the days I need next month. Current loads are about 35%. This is likely forceing me to US. At least those are E jets.

I am flying a BD-enabled fare on a CR7, A320, A320, and 752 - no lie-flat coach for me.
