Moniter, how was getting thru security? Did they also do full checks at the gate? The papers and FT forums are full of talk about the things to come or are currently happening both foreign and domestic.

However, don't forget that I have a metal knee and get the full Monty every time. That procedure has not changed and I did not see any extra surveillance except that there were four idiots with a table at the gate taking the first people (as they almost always do) in line for a gate check. |

I spent almost as much time in the Rijksmuseum as I did in the Louvre.

Then to https://aswbe-i.ana.co.jp/p_per/sky_...SearchLogin.do and enter your number and password then click on "Next" and then on either "use star alliance member airlines" or on "use the single airline" and then take your choice on the next screen. After that it is just a matter of picking your date and your itinerary. Forget using the region and country options and just put your airline codes in the spaces provided. But do not use any city codes such as NYC or WAS. Those will not be recognized. Then, if you can see availability where you want it, call your *A carrier and try to book it. When you have those details available for the phone agent, you usually get your award chop chop. Good luck. |

It really is not rocket science. First go to ANA's website and register for their Mileage Club FF plan.

So the open cirles with "seats available" means the equivalent of "SaverPass" available? |

Sign in to your ANA account 4. on the left side of the main page there is a pull down menu under "my AMC account", that says award redemption 5. pull down and select award reservation. 6. select Star Alliance member airlines. 7. input cities and dates and go. |

Thank you! *breathes a sigh of relief*. I could never even get to that front page you linked! :)

We're off to SAT; have a good un', Box. I'm stuck here at home watching my sister whine and complain about DL's $150 domestic change fee and I keep telling her how she won't get it waived. She thinks it's grossly unfair that her $120 BOS-LGA one-way can't be changed and that a change fee of $150 is absurd  I'm going to be an evil brother and just watch her suffer at the hands of the off-shore call center (no, I'm not giving her the Platinum phone number). |
And line of the day from my sister to a res agent: "This is so unfair that Delta would do this to me despite flying them ALL THE TIME"
Her YTD totals: 6275 EQMs, 10 EQS. I just fell on the floor laughing from that line. |

WOW... the Shopping mall was either very packed or I havent been to a mall in such a long time that it seemed packed. Got a few bargins.
Hoping the weather onthe east coast holds out till wed evening at least so I can atleast get to NYC. If I get stuck in NYC I wont be too upset. :) The explosion threat is all there is on it seems, at least on CNN whihc the folks are watching. I hope this doesnt change too many of the security measures out there. |

It was easy for me to grab a sniff because right now it is sitting next to me on an empty FC seat on the 3 o'clock to LGA. The back is almost full but there are only 5 pax in the front cabin with 9 empty seats. Hard to believe when the terminal outside security was a complete zoo with stranded travelers scattered all around on the chairs and on the floor.

Do you mean the entire Rijksmuseum or the truncated part that's open now? The full Rijksmuseum is enormous, but the currently open gallery took me a bit over an hour.
