Going to see Up in the Air this afternoon. Then on to a Turkish restaurant. Looking forward to it.

Yes, sorry Les Frogs ... missed off the "s" in my haste!
Obviously you didn't visit all the right places in London!! I lived there for many years, worked in the City, and had a great time. It is, of course, different when you live there. But, there is a lot to do for tourists if you are so inclined. Maybe you were not in the right frame of mind to enjoy it, given your experiences in Paris??? The sig-o was likely the problem, as I prefer plans and "tours" and such while the sig-o just liked to wander, disliked making plans. I don't like wandering much in a city I don't know my way around or what the "bad parts" are yet. Sig-o had lived in London as well. If the roles were reversed, I'd be dragging the person from A to B to C on an itinerary of sorts showing them the highlights.. my sig-o was more inclined to be like "what do you want to do today?" to which I rarely had any clue. |

For some reason turkish food sounds good - but what counts as turkish food exactly?
Na really, it is a lot like lebanese/israeli/middle eastern, with some flare at times. |
*tries to figure it out*
Would it be akin to morrocan with a heavy emphasis of cinnamon on beef and mint with melon? |

*busts out the Nintendo DS and Personal Trainer cooking*
Let's see what the Japanese think Turkish food is.. Hehe, took me a few mins to find Turkey on the map :) We got.. tomato soup (cute), beef and kidney bean stew, lamb stew, turkish stuffed peppers, and rice pudding. I'm not sold, but the Japanese also think American food is jambalya, potato salad, and clam chowder. |
Offer was accepted. :D
We're off to SAT; have a good un', Box. |

@bdjohns1 - I will report back during the week after the Wii is hooked up with regard to motor skills. Fiancee's parents picked her up a 32" flat panel for above the fireplace, so Wii should be that much better. ^^ Wii is good on the flat panel. Have fun, and remember to wear the wrist strap, lest you wind up like the people who fling their remotes into TV sets! |
Happy Boxing Day, Box.

Time to help the six year old compete with her father at Scrabble. :) |

It was easy for me to grab a sniff because right now it is sitting next to me on an empty FC seat on the 3 o'clock to LGA. The back is almost full but there are only 5 pax in the front cabin with 9 empty seats. Hard to believe when the terminal outside security was a complete zoo with stranded travelers scattered all around on the chairs and on the floor. |
