I'd like to point out that nearly 6 months later and I still have no desire to ever return to Paris. I can deal with CDG, I can traverse the RER in my sleep (and i've nearly done it), and know where to find "good" anything I'd want - I still hate the city and its people.

I've gone through one of the multiple-per-day bottles of Evian already; the diamond amenity is a half liter of Chateau de LaVerrerie 2006 Bastide (far less exclusive than last year's bottle) and some gourmet chocolates. I got a garden room on the 4th floor for these two days.

Just for the rest of us who can't dive in our free time but appreciate sea critters and the idea of diving..

Endless Ocean 2, aka: Endless Ocean: Blue World, will be released on the Wii February 22, 2010.

I'd only go back to check out parts of the Louvre I missed and to revisit that one pizza place I went to the first week I was there. I'd also insist on staying in an American style hotel.

More fun with her extended family soon.

Hopefully my creaky voice and cough that is unrelated to illness will keep them away from me. Maybe I should tell them I have swine flu.

The Louvre is a ridiculously complicated museum to navigate. I thought the French might be messing with U.S. residents in their English-language map last year so I picked up the Spanish-language one. Didn't help a bit.

I don't know if PH Paris Vendome meets the definition of "American-style" but it makes me happy.

Happy Boxing Day.

True to form, my weird across the street neighbor had his outdoor lights down by dusk. Now to see how he's going to handle disposing of his tree since this Wednesday is recycling day and he prefers to take his tree down on New Year's Day.

My voice is rough at the moment - did just get a three-course meal for 13euro50.

Conde Nast Traveler's magazine published a 60 minute guide to the Louvre a few years ago. It's not a bad guide to have but I hate the fact that the Louvre closes alot of their galleries to public viewing.

I did all I needed for the Louvre last year - things my colleagues would expect me to see as well as what I wanted to see.

I love art museums. I could spend days inside of one.

I spent almost as much time in the Rijksmuseum as I did in the Louvre.
