:td: to an ISP that makes you pay an extra 9.95/month to have ports 80 and 25 opened.

Didn't realize Teh Grinch worked at an ISP.

Which ISP would this be? If you need access to a friendly SMTP server let me know...

Well, the main part of our  Christmas celebration is over. I never was more than 15 miles from downtown LA starting at 1 pm yesterday and ending now. Had a new tank of gas -- drove 200 miles during that time.

Calebration # 3 was nice. Family all got together and traded gift cards, which is fine by me. We had a nice dinner at father's house and then went to visit him in hospital -- they wouldn't release him in time. When we got there, he just had a Percoset (sp?). My sister-in-law broke out her violin and started playing for him (:rolleyes::rolleyes:). He managed to sleep through most of her playing, fortunately. I am now self-medicating at home.

So, the count ends up as follows:

200 miles driven throughout Los Angeles
1 Starwood stay :)
1 suite upgrade ^
2 comped Christmas breakfasts ^
1 violin concert
Holiday with family (Great!)

Cablevision/Optimum Online. The 9.95/month also bumps our speed up to 30/5 (from 12/2 I believe) but I didn't really need that...

I actually needed ports 80, 22 and 443 but they only offer 80 and 25 so I'm forwarding 25 to 22 on the router and will need to go without 443 for now. It's really just a personal web server that I use for some personal projects, so I don't need anything too serious. Thanks for the offer.

It's been a great day. I hope you guys had a good one as well. Now it is time for turkey-induced slumber. Night, Box. :D

I noticed I had a photo of the plane in the Christmas day DTW incident back when it was still in NWA livery earlier this year.
