Then you can get really aggressive and look at the fare breakdown - if it prices as a fare break, you can do multicity to/from the fare break point. That's how I did the 6 segment BNA-ORD for ~$130 each way.

I should note that the airline does not have to be the same all the way through, and it can be in there as many times as the fare rules will permit for number of segments. If you only want three segments, so be it...list it three times.

Getting into fare breaks is over my head for right now. My mother knows that kind of stuff and if I brought her some of the tickets that get talked about here and asked her to issue it, I'm sure she'd be floored at what the final prices spit out at.

The fare break is simply forcing end-on-end ticketing. My long route to ORD had a fare break in PIT, with BNA-PIT and PIT-CHI being less than $50 each. Seeing how ITA routed and the airlines priced a four-segment itinerary (two flights to PIT, two more to ORD), I could add one more before each fare break point, still be eligible for the same fare except adding PFC and segment tax, and still get to the destination in a day.

@:-)@:-)

Don't you still buy a variation on this ticket every so often? IIRC you have a commitment in CHI a few times a year.

No standing commitment in CHI and I dropped my Board commitment in Maryland. Using WN credits for my trip up to the Park Hyatt CHI in six weekends ^

How about we start to plan somthing. I am free on Sunday, Jan 31. Maybe we could all meet at the EWR P-club.

I like the way you think.....I'm going to a show the night of the 30th but I might be up for some EWR action (since I have NOTHING air-related scheduled).

PHL::UA UA UA UA
SFO::UA UA UA UA

By listing the same airline four times, you force it to search for four segments between Point A and Point B.

That helps a lot...thanks! Between you, jrzyshawn, and icurhere2, I might actually learn how to take a proper MR.

For the Hyatt folks - something I definitely didn't want to see coming.

No worries - I can take advantage of Hyatt just fine before deflation. Sadly, I think this could be an absolutely rocking and engaging job.

The easiest trips to build, IMHO, are same day West Coast turns. Get up at an ungodly early hour, make up that sleep during the day while flying, and never adjust your watch. Doing this on CO is great for the opposite reason that it's good on UA...CO's tight rules make it easier to plan out eating and potty breaks and have a semblance of a normal day. For UA it's all about a low CPM number.

Thanks. I should have said that I don't chase round numbers, meaning that I will not do "posty post" type stuff just to get there.
