That's a pretty kick-arse photo. Reminds me of when myself and 7 other guys rented a catamaran to sail around the Whitsundays*. We raided a local grocery store for a week's worth of provisions and I think of the $2000 we spent at the grocery store, $1800 went to alcohol.

Needless to say, we didn't really think that through too well. Thankfully we had enough liquor to keep us in a state of mind that we didn't really care.

I'd recommend grabbing a car and driving down to Laguna Beach. Drinks at the Montage Resort are exceptional - with an amazing view of the Pacific. It is definitely worth a quick trip down there.

Im lucky that most of my friends love College Football , even though they are from this area and went to schools that were not big football schools.
I think thats why they started this roadtrip 8 years ago

I won't be driving , we rent an RV and drive it down there - We have a guy who tries to drive the whole time.
When he starts getting tired we start playing the theme from Rocky .
If that does not work , we have a guy on stby in the crew rest area.

I just got a random mailer from NYU about their Master's Hotel Admin program.

I could get into college football but for the BCS.

I have attended a few games in Baton Rouge. I had the dubious distinction of being the drunkest person in Tiger Stadium during last year's LSU-S. Carolina game. I was passed-out cold on the concrete floor for about 20 mins up against the railing between the bathrooms/concessions. I missed the big fake field-goal play.

After I recovered somewhat, I enjoyed the second-half by commandeering the extra flask-sized bottle of bourbon that the Significant Otter had squirreled away whilst she was away on a bathroom break. I was not well for days after that experience.

What's exactly wrong with LAX? I kind of like it. Haven't had a long wait for lines at T2 or T6, and its foreign widebodies and compact size reminds me a little of the old Kai Tak. And with the weather always nice here, minimal delays.

Now, if I'm flying coach with no status out of TBIT in the evening, then that's a different story.

Or if you're actually talking about the 405 Freeway...

This sucks, I have been banished to the evening shift at work for the next 3 months, so I basically have no social life. I am getting home at 12:30 a.m. and I to wound up to fall asleep when I get home. I am not falling asleep until about 2:30 a.m. and now I feel like I am sleeping the day away like a bum.

PDA site shows folks dropping likes flies from my flight this afternoon. F availability is 3 and I'm the 3rd down on the list (I'm good to go unless a plat with a higher fare hasn't checked in yet or some putz buys a walk-up).

Now we come to the dilemma of who gets the big seat. Me or the Canuck.

I was about to watch some TV last night when a buddy called and said a bar down the street from my apt. had $1 Bud Light's. So I went and didnt get home until 1am.:rolleyes: I think I am going to stay in tonight.

For the NYC'ers the bar was Turtle Bay Grill on 52nd and 2nd. Every Wednesday its $1 Bud's.

Lines, lines, lines, and more lines. Every time I fly CO out of LAX the check-in counter is total chaos, the security line is just as bad, and most of the terminals I've been in are outdated and in serious need of renovation inside. And if you get stuck there with a long layover, the concession options are crap. Outside the terminals the traffic is always horrible. Sure it's got tons of cool planes to see, but that's about it in my opinion. The place is horribly inefficient, and in many cases, outdated.
