Movie was a bit different than the book...I would recommend both though if you've seen the movie but haven't read the book yet.

Well, this is lifetime post 1700!

I haven't read the book yet but will probably make that a 2010 thing to do. I liked the movie as one which didn't follow the normal (end the story happy) formula.

So many memories in the Box! ^

The book was my airplane reading for the past few weeks (seems like the only times I get to read a book are either when I'm on a plane or on a beach somewhere).

Book and movie diverged very quickly but both were very good.

Ah, Fat Tire. There's apparently a variety 12-pack of New Belgium waiting for me in Colorado tomorrow evening...if I can make it there in one piece.

I haven't been away from the apt this long (17 days) since March, and the amount of cleaning and packing did NOT seem quite this bad back then.

Did I mention I HATE packing? (provided the trip is longer than one night. Those I do rather well.)

I had to clean up the apartment tonight since I'll be gone for the next 13 days as of tomorrow ^

The Fat Tire was quite good...I was even willing to pay extra for it vs. the happy hour specials at the bar, which were drinking swill for half price. I have my standards, and I wasn't quite drunk enough to lower them.

I leave for a short, meaningless trip tomorrow. Tomorrow night, I am staying for free at the HP Ontario Mills. I'll wake up Saturday morning and will drive to my vacation condo im PSP. I bought the place thinking it would keep us from going on meaningless trips to interesting places. WRONG. I still love the condo, and it is simply my second home that I love to visit!

1554 Enlightenment Black Ale?

Anyway, racquetball really, really beat me up today. Just got another glass of water (which takes me to 3 quarts since 1830) but also a small nip of Woodford.

This seems unacceptable. :p

Sadly, the bar didn't have any other New Belgium products besides Fat Tire  In fact, FT was probably the top of the chain for beer (on tap) selections.

I have yet to have teh 1554 Enlightenment Black Ale though...

I really want to do a trip on 1/1 next year to start of the new year in a dignified fashion by going somewhere.

I figured I had to get my car home, so I could drive to work tomorrow (and leave my car there since it's free to park there vs. $9/day at an offsite parking lot at MSP).

Sounds like the free night given to all diamonds? I used mine at HP ATL South on the day back from AUA - I was about to pay $110 for a room night but the free night was given out the day before ^ I Skyped from AUA to GoldPassport Support and "fixed" that problem.

Do you consider Hyatt hopping 30 miles from home "dignified"? :p
