I don't have much in the way of food, but I have enough liquor to kill a dozen elephants. I'm good. :-:

Ducks stop Beavers -- that may be the end. 4th quarter!

Phudnik did you see this article?

Hadn't seen it, though I have seen several other mock draws. Being in the same pot with Asia/NZ guarantees a tough group. Everyone will be praying for Japan/N Korea/NZ from that pot.

A couple of things he said make me wonder whether he's been watching the games -- he said the US struggles to score during the run of play, which wasn't true at all before Davies's car accident. I'd also rather see Denmark than, say, Serbia.

Nope! :D

If it does drop 4-6" on my part of town, that will be the highest amount that has fallen on an area of Houston that I've lived in since I was born. I think the 2004 Christmas storm dumped a comparable load down on the coast by Galveston, Baytown and Highlands, but nowhere near that amount up near IAH (where I was living at the time).

Speaking of fun lines, you folks with SkyTeam USA miles should try to swing seats on the AF island hopper from MIA. They have two 320s running around the Carribean and end up in Cayenne. Now those are some rare dots and lines! https://www.airfrance.com/US/en/loca...ibes_hiver.htm

I would so take that flight, if I didn't think it would land me on some sort of watch list. Also, it might be kinda hard to do a CC trade for Conviasa miles, and there's no way I'm doing CCS-DAM in coach, even on an A340-200.

Trustguy Dec 3, 2009 9:44 pm

Ducks threatening again!

Yeah no kidding. Sneaking in to the land of Fidel is one thing, but those city pairs are just asking for a cavity check at some point in the future.

In that TR I linked, the anutter downgraded himself from Clase Ejecutiva to lie-flat Y since the loads were so low.

I am flying IAH-CLE-GRR tomorrow. It appears I'm flying early enough out of IAH to not have any problems, but GRR is under a Winter Storm Warning expecting 1-2 inches per hour until 4 p.m. (I arrive prior to that) and to not travel if not absolutely necessary. CLE is scheduled for snow as well. Thinking of just throwing in the towel!

I wouldnt worry about anything beyond IAH. Us folks up here can handle snow and have more than two deicing trucks and plows. :D
