There is an Outback nearby and also a Chik-Fil-A, which is rare in So Cal (I have major coupons which will pay for tomorrow's lunch)...

I've stayed at that HP before...very nice property, especially for when I was abusing Delta on MSP-ATL-ONT-ATL-MSP MRs for under $200.

Despite the downturn in our business and the number of benched consultants we have, today I found out I'm in the top five most billable consultants in my practice area for 2009. I'm hoping for a repeat in 2010.

Congratulations and Good Luck In 2010!!

Touché (even though I don't eat breakfast).

I do like eggs in the morning (although I never eat breakfast at home).

And then I move another 3.7 miles away to Hyatt Place Chantilly/Dulles Airport-South. :D

I am doing Irvine to OC and vice versa Dec. 31 thru Jan. 5. I am having a January Hyatt fest, although I need to stay at the MCO Marriott World Center for a week (wasted Marriott stay). That is costing me some nights, although I may check in and out of some MCO hotels if I see an opening in my schedule.

The guy asked if I was going to be able to make it and I told him it'd be tough, but i was going to try. He puts me on hold, comes back and tells me that since i've been a Plat for so long, they are extending it for me through 2/2011.

A mattress run without the mattress run. :D

That's great!

With Marriott's elite rollover nights and the 15 bonus nights I get from carrying the Chase Marriott Visa, I'll be over halfway to Gold in 2010 before the year even starts. I think I'll have about a third of the stays I need to renew SPG Platinum as well thanks to their stays count double promotion.

Some haunting music from Battlestar Galactica the new series for a late evening in CLT and across the Eastern Time Zone:

The one tough thing about MSP is that (aside from Marriott properties, which seem to be everywhere), the other major chains have maybe 3-4 properties in MSP.

Now, if you want a Days Inn/Knights Inn/Red Roof Inn/etc., then you've found you're heaven. Otherwise,

I once showed my business office that it was cheaper for me to Hyatt hop and get three stays than to have one stay at any of the downtown hotels for four straight nights in SAT. They said carry on.

My seeking of the truth of BD may take me through MSP at times.

Indeed...with MR rollover nights, I'm considering shifting all my hotel spending to Marriotts next year and maybe making Gold.

Of course, it's subject to change, since if I get the job I applied for, there would be about 75-100 Hilton nights a year from that, so I'd easily make Diamond there.

I did commemorate that milestone because only two others have that achievement.
