Online yes, tournament no. Open table play on FullTiltPoker. I used to be a specialist in six-handed NLH tournament tables, but trying to get that skill level back after letting it slip is proving painful.

If you are looking to learn Texas Hold 'Em, there are no better books to pick up than those of Ken Warren, this being his intro course for novice players.

They have a collection of antique bicycles (the kind that have a 4+' tall front wheel, 1' rear wheel)...

I believe those are called "Penny Farthings"

Any The Prisoner fans around here?

not talking about slums here but the 1 bedroom place I was at was a condo, it was $150,000 when I got it, sold it for a little more than this while the side of the building was advertising $170k last year + a few months. the same places now are going for 77-85k! I am glad I got out when I did!

The 30k was described as a not-horrible neighborhood. I didn't look to see how low they could really go.

I am a fan of Pai Gow Poker myself.

Golly, I remember my first Box post. So full of optimism and hope for the world and my fellow man. I was so timid and was careful with my first post.

Two months later -- wow, have I grown up. Never would I have imagined tht I would learn about how much  there is in the world. I have only teh Box to thank for opening my eyes. :D

That is one name that they are referred to as. Also called "ordinary" or "high wheeler". They have one that's got a 60" front wheel.

I learned to ride a 42" when I was younger. It's not easy.

Have the book - it's in the guest bedroom.

MrBrit skeedaddled off the LHR this morning, and it is surprisingly strange to be home alone with the girls.

Normally it is I that is out flying the skies and he is home. His job does not demand any form of travel, unlike mine. Hence, it is rather strange to think that I will be sleeping alone in my own bed tonight rather than a hotel bed.

Very peculiar.

I don't think I like it very much.

Uh oh -- what next -- MRing w/the girls?!;):D

Ditto, at least on the starting to fill up front. I'm not sure about status - I may be crediting a few runs to CO rather than BD (not the Q-Ups but the Y HNL trip, I think) - but I should be pretty good overall.

I've got PRG (hopefully), SAN, HNL and a bunch of GEG thus far. Probably some others, too, that I can't remember right now.

Holy crap. I just googled and found an article from 1975 with a photo of my grandfather on a high wheeler:
