My friend is flying EWR-LHR tonight on the 6:50pm flight (a 777 coming in from NRT). Flight status for both legs show on schedule. Hoping it goes out for her and doesn't get cxd if snow gets worse this afternoon.

No snow here at the moment. Keeping my fingers crossed that it has gone westward instead.

I'd suspect the bump option will be there but your options to get on another flight may be days away as we are looking at two days of historicly heavy travel being messed up.

PHL closing runways sporadically for plowing - they just closed 9R.

A valid point, but would it be possible for CM to get up to EWR and get on a flight from there that might not be as bad?

No harm in asking, however...and there is a new Star Alliance partner for me to try to reroute on. IAH-FLL would be a new line. :D

Not much a point in that for me. Flying at 0630 Monday and not driving myself.

Yeah...0630 on a Monday morning is not a good time to be doing the PHL to EWR switcheroo.

US RJ just landed on 9L and called "braking action nil" -

I could be persuaded to try it for a metric butt-ton of compensation...paid SEPTA, paid Amtrak, large VDB would be the minimum at which I'd consider that.

Even there it'd be a hassle...I'd need one very good VDB package for me to do that on a Monday morning.

Agreed, but if the scenario presents itself, I'm more than happy to let them endorse me over to CO or UA and make a stop or two.
