NO! So Plus1 had to sit in back! She was #7 on the list as a plat comp. (she had been #6 as a gold, but the later flight was delayed almost 2 hours, so had some people move over to ours).

Poor Plus1 - is BL JR going to hit Plat next year?

I am hoping that I will actually get our cards out before Christmas this year. I am thinking of writing a letter but am not sure if I can pull it off. I always wanted to do one of those bragging letters that was obviously false ("I was drafted in the first round by the Eagles, and the kids shared the Pritzker Prize") but don't think anyone other than my father would get the joke.

I really should start packing...

I've resigned myself to always packing for trips in the morning before I go to the airport. Not the greatest way of doing things.

Maybe Thursday I'll pack before I fly out on Friday. Especially since I intend on going to bars on Thursday night.

I will do laundry and pack on Friday before heading out Saturday (then be away for 2.5 weeks )

I'll be away for 1.5 weeks. I did leave a good bit of clothes at my parents house a few weeks ago at Thanksgiving so that it's less for me to lug back to Boston.

That reminds me... to do laundry

Even though I am relocating (and checking three bags tomorrow), I will be coming back to Vegas in a month for an event. It also helps that I can leave things here for the time being.

I did some Friday afternoon before I flew out of town...I'll probably have to do one more load before I go home...Thursday afternoon looks good on my schedule.

My process appears to work thusly:

A. Drive to a city TBD on the 19th, en route to Atlantic City, NJ on 20th to abuse resort company
B. Drive to DCA on the 24th, do laundry at mom's
C. Fly to CDG on 25th
D. Fly back to DCA on the 30th, do laundry at mom's
E. Pretend to be around for not much time (need rest, not a week with family) but then Hyatt Hop in early 2010
F. Drive to Gatlinburg, TN on 3rd to use my final points with resort company, do laundry in townhouse
G. Drive home on 5th.

I definitely am nowhere near as organized as that.

If I had to pack for 2.5 weeks, life would be really bad, especially in Paris / Versailles. However, I know a few things:

A. Mom has a washer / dryer.
B. She still should have a washer / dryer when I get back from Europe.
C. My townhouse in Gatlinburg, TN will have a washer / dryer.

Oh - my 21" rollaboard had a zipper failure on the way home yesterday. This happens to be the bag I spoke about replacing when the Box was discussion luggage providers ...

Very valid points. All I know is I need to make it through this week, as I'll have plenty of clean clothes in Boston.

Blech. The last zipper failure I had was on my briefcase back in April. I thus went out and splurged on a Tumi.
