There were plans for two before EconoPoop 2008, along with the halted plans for an East Coast version of CityCenter scaled down to fit in the available land. The one that is going forward is more than twice the size of Borgata.

New Orleans itself is great - I very much want to go back.

Reports coming in that Highlands is taking it in the pooper from Yeti. Accumulations already beginning, a full 01:30 before the changeover to snow was even supposed to happen.

I was thinking about that too. But aren't there too many weight restrictions? Unless they route the a/c for an inbound 738 to turn to IAH. Which generally isn't how CO likes to roll. Way back when, for a month or so, there was a scheduled 73G that flew SNA-LAX. It was in the GDSes, so one could buy a ticket, but sadly I could never get the fare rules to allow me to do SNA-LAX-SBP or something on the American Eagle codeshares from LAX. |

That's severely messed up. I would be eating Biscoffs out of my laptop case before paying that out of my per diem.
I didn't even catch the prices on this last night until after ordering and was told the total. I don't really have a "per diem" — I'm reimbursed actual expenses. So it really doesn't matter that much to me, but it's still ridiculous. But it was either that or hold out for the UA pasta on the plane, and despite the cost, the shrimp poboy was pretty damn good. I can't say the same about the UA domestic F pasta. |
Absolutely bucketing down in Downtown now. If the ground were frozen, this would be piling up several inches per hour.

Eh, I guess. I'm burned out on it. I enjoyed it more pre-Katrina. It hasn't been nearly the same since.

 What are they sinking? :-:
It is hard enough to find good labor in the Absecon Island/ACY/Atlantic County area, and local residents are all too familiar with the casinos' outlook toward their employees. The only upside is that if the new building does open as planned, they can suck up a good amount of the thousands that were laid off, and siphon off some of those still employed. I have heard of people with steady casino gigs taking a leave of absence to work at a new property just to see if they like it better. |
