We just missed each other.

I started my internment at syr.edu.ca in '99 and moved to ROC.ca in '03. Lasted a winter up there before I realized that I didn't really want to subject myself to that nonsense anymore and moved downstate (to subject myself to an entirely different degree of nonsense).

"The Canuck" was a ROC lifer that did her under and grad amongst the alfalfa fields of Geneseo. I plucked her out of her life of ice-skating rinks in the back-yard and dating guys with no teeth ('ockey, eh) and she made the migration with me.

Good Stuff, get to ROC several times a year generally to see the folks. Am a huge fan of CLT and consider it home now. Went "native" and married a Southern Girl.;)^^^ I like Upstate NY, but the economy and the weather are a wee bit of

I do not question the decrees of my management. :D

Forgive me if I asked the Box already. Does anyone have a connection on kitchen appliances?

I need to pick up a gas range, over the range microwave with vent hood and dishwasher, all stainless steel.

I could be wrong, but DL announced SAN-HNL not anything from SNA. A quick google search returned nothing.

CLT is a nice town.

I didn't really mind ROC as a city all that much. I just hated, as you said, the weather and the economy. I was swept up in a 10,000 person lay-off from a certain camera company and realized that it was probably the best thing to happen to me. I go back there more than I head to the Carolinas as that's where her family is from. A day or two at a time is sufficient as far as I'm concerned.

Even proposed to the Canuck at the Lilac festival in Highland Park, as that's where we met many moons prior (under the glow of the deep-fried oreo wagon).

I had been trying very hard to convert her accent over to a Southern belle accent. I finally gave up and settled with the fact that I, more or less, eradicated the nasal-ROC accent. Although it rears its ugly head about as often as I drop a "reckon" or a "fixin."

I will, however, never give-up calling the evening meal supper.
