You met the spend requirement for the 15k bonus.

Any idea what the spend requirement is? I'd have to check where we're at...

I've seen many post that they get SPG bonuses for no particular reason.

I've received other SPG AMEX bonuses for what appeared to be for no particular reason so I figured this was for the same unknown reason. Either way, I'm definitely not complaining. :)

I was also told that if I did have confirmed seats I couldn't change them to a different flight/routing without releasing what was already confirmed, leaving me the likelihood of losing my reservation completely. That sounds wrong. Is it?

I'm already at agent#3 for this award booking. #1 was fabulous. #2 was probably the worst CO agent I've *EVER* had. #3 gave me the above questionable advice.

Whatever you see in ANA should be available, pending quirks like married segments or the like. As for potentially losing other seats I have no idea. It sounds like there are a number of carriers out there which aren't instantly confirming reservations so that is causing issues with things like changing a flight. You'd technically have two outbound segments and that could muck things up.

So I finally have time to plan the IAH-SEA-IAH flights to go around the SEA-NRT trip that I booked ages ago. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how many days to spend in SEA? I was thinking 2, but the other half suggests an extra day or two. We have the vacation time and neither of us have been there before, but I'm just debating if I should burn 4 days worth of hotel points in SEA

Here are a few:
1. Seattle Air and Space Museum
2. Pikes Place Market
3. Wine Shop near Pikes PLace Market
4. Boeing Museum, Flying Heritage Collection, and Restoration hanger for museum of flight all at Everett Field.
5. Glass museum in Tacoma
6. Snoqualimie Falls (if you have a car)
7. Pioneer Square Tour

Seattle is a great city with plenty to do. We stayed at a newly minted Double Tree called The Artic Hotel. The rooms are a little small but the hotel has a lot of history and kinda in the middle of the city.

It was part of the offer when I signed up for the card, but I can't remember the amount.

My account shows 15k more now as well.

The fact that they didn't convert makes it doubly so.

One word: arrogance. And it's of one person.

Were you expecting that 15k (now or near future)?

Mt. St. Helens is a good day trip. So is Vancouver!

You all are making me want to spend more time in SEA when I travel to the Olympics.

I don't think so - he's had success with the practice in the past but one also has the potential to get bit rather frequently. Why take the risk averse approach with more than a quarter remaining when one can take the risk seeking approach?

Headsets in Y going from $1 to $3 on 12/1/09!
