You look rather dapper in that suit.

Thanks. :D I lobbied the management for it and they actually listened. They stopped listening when I started lobbying for real fixes to the customer service process.

Haha. I wish I owned a nice rifle for distance competition shooting. I'm handy with a pistol and a shotgun, but have not yet conquered the rifle. Someday I'll get around to it.

I think you can do 4 if they have a double double room. Our king room on the executive floor was decent size.

They only list rooms with two twin beds or one king. I guess I need to call the hotel and ask...

Same young man.

I don't feel any grief at all for the irresponsible kid doing 70-90mph in a 55mph zone and who ran a traffic light:

...The family was traveling east on Highway 37 around 9:20 p.m. on Saturday when 19-year-old Steven Culbertson ran the light at the intersection with Lakeville Highway and smashed broadside into Maloney's van, according to Sloat.

The impact crushed the minivan and pushed it into a passing Mitsubishi Gallant, moderately injuring its three passengers.

Culbertson apparently lost control of his Mini Cooper after he clipped the rear of a Honda CR-V that was slowing down to stop at the intersection's traffic light. Culbertson had been traveling south on Lakeville at a speed of between 70 and 90 miles per hour - well over the 55-mile-an-hour speed limit...
I do feel extremely sad for his family, for the four innocent people whose lives he took, and for those in the third vehicle who ended up in the hospital.

Someone in RevMgmt needs to lay off of the pipe - I am checking for flights to SFO next week and they want $1079 for the nonstop during midweek. Same flights including short hops from ERI? $395

No mystery at all. It is, always has been and always will be about the money. If they think they are making more money because Christmas starts in August then so be it.

Agreed.

... a quick call reveals that there should be no problem with all four of us in a room ... but the web site won't allow me to list more than two people :( ... so I'll reserve and then call back!

Good point, but conversely one might think that with all the people who  upon seeing early holiday decorations that some of them might actually complain.

Apparently not enough to adversely affect the coffers.

I think there is also a large contingent of consumers who like to shop early and avoid all the silliness in stores during late November and December. It's supply and demand at that point.

Still hacks me off though. :o

Afternoon Box.

Does anyone else find it difficult to impossible to use CO for getting around the east coast in the evening (as in don't have to leave work early)?

The hublette doesn't have many flights, and the EWR connections are so padded with time with the last bank seemingly ending around 8pm that I have to start flying at 3pm to get anywhere with a connection.

(my specific anecdotal causing this frustration is a midweek attempt to fly PIT-MCO. CLE's got nuthin in the evening, and the lastest routing through EWR leaves at 3:20 pm. US, DL, and UA all have 6pm departures to hubs that connect to late flight banks)

Copa can explain that there's cross-elasticity - given a decrease in the purchase of new cars, there's more quantity demanded (as a result of demand functions) for repairs to pre-existing cars with a consistent supply of repair shops.

I've complained. I'll admit it. Once, a person putting up decorations in a mall the day after Halloween once gave me lip about my complaint. He asked when I thought he should be putting up the Christmas decorations. My suggestion of a week before the event was met with extreme scorn. :)
