What's the policy on duplicates in the aeroporn thread? I have pictures of DL 77L J, TG old F and TG new C that I can add, but there are already other pictures of those seats in the thread. Also, are pictures of Y seats welcome? I have SQ Y from their 772, 744 and A380 that I could add. Thoughts? More is more?

By all means, add it. I just group them in teh Index as "Set 1" "Set 2," etc.

Don't forget the third leg of that triangle: the ease with which you can make people of lesser status feel like dried rattlesnake $hit.

Now, now. Some of us take proper pity upon those poor, unwashed masses of "untouchables." I have been known to send a free beer or two from the exalted pointy end back to the proletarian section of the aircraft. :-:

I despise him as a human being, and I despised his cemented residence in an ivory tower that had no conception of the world at large. Now after being out of the ivory tower for several years, I feel like I can go back into it via teaching and at least speak from experience.

Golf never came together - we were just looking at drinks. I'm hoping that 2010 brings at least one Golf Mini-Do. I still want to do any or all of the other courses at Bethpage and I have several ideas for a golf trip that requires flying from this neck of the woods. When it becomes financially feasible for me to lead such a group, I will post options. There are also a few courses down by Philly that I'd like to play which would be a more convenient trek for the NYC crowd.

I guess you'll have to let us know when you're in town. Too bad the Big Ed's BBQ in Dayton closed :(

I would humbly submit Famous Dave's as an option. They're quite good.

This particular member of the lumpen proletariat thanks you. ^

In that other forum which we were lamenting the existence of, the proletariat is seen as what defaces the bottoms of the shoes of the exalted classes, 1K and GS.

I'm disappointed you actually thought it was worthy of asking.

More is ALWAYS more. :p

Of course, that being said, I'm considering skipping a dive tomorrow (my last day here) since I'm so waterlogged. My ears are starting to get sore and I'm slightly worried about the flight based on that.

You'd come all the way up here for Famous Dave's?!

I was thinking of somewhere in the Dayton area. There's a great Indian Dosa place there (actually, there are a couple of them). Might I also suggest somewhere equally inconvenient to AC but unique and quite excellent, Federicis in Freehold? Another good suggestion would be The Cabin, just outside of Freehold.

That is true unless you're ALCO and you've seen the end of more.

Excellent! More aeroporn has been added - although, nothing too terribly exciting.

In semi-related news, I loved the Singapore Girls but couldn't bring myself to be "that guy" and ask if I could have my picture taken with some of them. :)

Random Idea for a useful Aerogeek Web Tool (Perhaps for consideration of PBC LLC)...

Some sort of interface that allows you to enter a set of routing rules (e.g., FLL-WAS/PHX/PHL/LAS/CLT/BOS-PHX/LAS-PDX), as well as ticket price, fare-bucket and alliance in which miles will be earned. The program would then crunch the numbers and spit back maximized routings, miles earned on that fare in each program of the alliance, and cpm figure. Said tool should also, ideally, allow you to input a specific routing (if you know one particular routing you wish to take, rather than the max-miles routing) for the same info.

Tie it in to Great Circle Mapper for some nice visuals, et voila...

I am programming illiterate. Someone please build us this toy. :D

I've been to nyc a ton before but as my sister has a few rugrats, we end up ordering in. She lives in BH near the clark st 2/3 stop so getting into Manhattan is not an issue.

Anyone? Bueller?

In the Meatpacking District (hip and very pretentious) there are some good non pretentious options, I would say better for lunch/brunch :

Macelleria
Nero
Five 9th
The new restaurant at the Standard Hotel ( Its good for brunch and outdoor seating)
The Park NYC
La Bottega @ The Maritime Hotel

and don't forget to stop by Billy's Bakery for cupcakes :D
