So you were the Dean of Deans?

Depending upon process there are two of us. We have adjacent offices but I have less delegated authority.

Nah - I was already one of the largest grant procurers ...

Learned something else new today - the late Michael Kamen (mentioned recently as the genius of the Metallica / San Francisco Symphony collaboration) also co-wrote "I Do the Rock" with Tim Curry.

8 years running

Well, I just peeked at my OnePass account and since the posting of last week's flights, I've made platinum for next year.....on MILES! For the last 7 years, I've qualified on EQP (usually by June/July) and sometimes barely made it to 75K EQM all year. I think the DEQM promotion helped since I just passed 75K but am only at 69 EQP. This year's been slow for air travel for me but I think I should get near 100 EQP by the end of year. What the EQM on that will be is anyone's guess. I may get a work trip in BF to Germany or I may just keep on flying down to JAX, RSW, MCO, TPA, PBI, and SDF every once in a while.

I guess  will tell.

Congrats! As someone who had never even been mid-tier on any airline before this year , I pass 100K (for the first time) sometime over the Atlantic Ocean Friday evening / Saturday morning.

Well wish I'd be there longer! There is a slight possibility of me staying in Weehawken but I will emphasize the "slight". :D Other than that, the sister will want to be as close to home as possible when out partying. Errrgh!! :)

Only when 0 < Dean < 1; Dean² then is lesser than Dean. Otherwise Dean² doesn't get to respond to questions about whether a functioning cannon would be a weapon

Alright all - need to get some sleep so I can show up at work ...

Actually, what I meant to say was "There are new creatures on that site." Now I'm really embarrassed — typed the wrong word and made a glaring grammatical error (usually I'm a grammar Nazi, thanks to my English teacher mother).

That's what I get for staying up too late three nights in a row dealing with work stuff. I think it's time I get some sleep.

One of the reasons that I diverted away from the advanced degree track into the hotel biz...well, that and a history professor who once told me that I was further banned from cracking jokes about the French in his classrooms because "French jokes are bad for the UN". I despise him as a human being, and I despised his cemented residence in an ivory tower that had no conception of the world at large. Now after being out of the ivory tower for several years, I feel like I can go back into it via teaching and at least speak from experience.

Well, this isn't the UA forum where post count and elite status determines your pecking order.

Don't forget the third leg of that triangle: the ease with which you can make people of lesser status feel like dried rattlesnake $hit.

I'm reading Vince Flynn, so by extension I am unable to sleep. I enjoy being a grammar Nazi because I took a course in grammar Nazism - a writing tutor practicum. That having been said, I much more enjoy my position as a self-appointed resident crusader against stupidity and self-importance.

Back to the book - night, Box.
