Boo hiss!

May be time to find a new one.

There was more money riding on the case next door. Whatever you were in for did not represent an equal or greater financial gain.

Yup, initial consultation next door; mine was a final checkup - no bill.

It's interesting because I have found that female drs. tend to run tighter ships than male drs. (sure, I'm generalizing here) and other than peds appts., the appt times are pretty close to actual times. One of the reason I appreciate female docs. One area where female docs are lacking - orthopedics. Why is that?

I think it depends more on their secretarial staff to be honest. :)

How much shrimp did you eat? How many cheddar bisquits did you have? Fill us in on the rest of the dinner.

I see the DL BE Transcon thread has brought out the best in us...

Based on my orthopedists, I would say no. But the docs aren't bad ;)

Ortho deals with sports injury - very male stereotype.

The only female doctor I've had was my orthodontist. That practice was so big it ran with military precision. Me and 12 kids in the waiting room. At least there was a reserved adult section.:D

After half a dozen major orthopedic surgeries, I am guessing that in addition to the aforementioned sports injuries theory, this field is a bit rough and tumble for many females. Operations that last for four or five hours requiring the use of hacksaws and other such implements may just not be among the things that women like to do.
