The plane known as Air Force One was in OKC today for training. Just saw that on the news.

Things I learned today.

1) .bomb support is as useless as .bomb. I had one of my runs on hold and went to ticket, it failed. I called them and it took them 30 minutes to ticket.

2) .bomb lets you divorce married segments to find better availability.

3) The above confuses .bomb such that it no longer considers your trip a r/t even though it is.

Always fun to watch. I've seen both 28000 and 29000 do touch and go's at ACY. I saw Air Force Two set up to land from a distance one day while driving into Borgata; never got a real clean look at it.

The Box should take a page from the Opie & Anthony playbook and play "What Did We Learn Today?" - to be kept in the true spirit of the game, it should be something new you learned from The Box, however outside contributions are also perfectly acceptable while repetitions are not. @:-)

ETA: Mike learned today that a mistakenly filed Q-Up can cause The Box to come to a screeching halt.

I learned that the amount of time I spend sitting in a boring exam room listening to the doctor talk to the patient in the next room over is inversely proportional to the time he'll spend with me. 23 minutes vs. 9:rolleyes: seconds

There was more money riding on the case next door. Whatever you were in for did not represent an equal or greater financial gain.

(Which is precisely why there will never -- yes, Plus1, I am using an absolute -- never, ever be a cure for cancer. Way too much money to be made in treatment vs. outright cure. Same argument holds true for the common cold.)

So very true. Looked what happened to GI medicine when they found a cure for most ulcers (Dr. gambled w/ his life to prove cause/cure) and the two most popular drugs, Zantac and Prilosec, went OTC.

I am cynical and believe this too :)

.bomb cracks me up when it thinks I'm going to IAD for trips to LAX, simply because that's my first connection point. It always lists the itinerary as a roundtrip between Atlanta and Washington, DC. This has led to issues with my corporate travel agent, who has more than once e-mailed me asking if something was wrong with my itinerary that they needed to fix.

I feel like I did my UA Good Deed of the Day today by purchasing three trips to Spokane from my MSP base.

I shall enjoy the great F service that UA is sure to provide me, while earning CO miles for said trips.

I'm sure UA appreciates the $420 in revenue or so in exchange for these 3 round trips in Confirmed F.
