Wow, nice thunderstorm just rolled through. Lowered the temperature about 20 degrees which is always welcome.

My best run was using the same ticket 3x from NYP to EWR.

no one took my ticket yet. were almost at ewr. :-:

You'll need to use your ticket (or pay ~$5) to exit at EWR. If you want to re-use/refund your ticket you will want to just pay the exit fee. ;)

I got off at newark penn. no exit fee. :)

now on the way to secaucus and then to north hackensack err I mean new bridge landing.

You betcha. And I was definitely invited. Unfortunately, there's some seriously-can't-miss work stuff that weekend.

Growing up going to an all-girls school (which, FWIW, I loved), I never quite understood what my parents meant by "I think you'll end up having more close friends who are guys..." :p

I am particularly glad, also, that I managed to find myself a SO who supports my weird flying habit. ;) (and, yeah, that's the understatement of the year...)

I have no idea how c:eek:ld it is in this club, but I had to just put on a jacket. Then again, I'm wearing shorts and a short-sleeve shirt.

What a jerk. "There's nothing wrong with me. Matter of fact, I'm one of the few men in the city who has nothing wrong with him. ...If you've got issues, psychological issues, if you're on any sort of medication for depression... I'm not interested..."

More info on Dimitri here and here.

I know at least a couple of people have applied for a Federal Gov't job recently. How long should I set aside tomorrow to deal with the website?

Ahhh 6th street. Let's not forget about 2nd Street. Beer on 6th and hard alcohol on 2nd. :)

I've had many long nights over at Malaga.

After the last few massive brawls I've seen on 6th, I usually go in to 1-2 bars there and then head to 4th. It's a much tamer environment :p

If I stay in downtown I'll probably be at the Marriott (unless an aloft magically pops up). The Sheraton there has never been one of my favorite properties.

My son has been applying for Federal jobs over the past 6 months and finally had an interview last week. If you want, PM me and I will give you his e-mail and he can probably give you detailed information about this subject.

I'm not big into SPG either (at least not at the moment) but I don't think it is a SPG-centric event, outside from the Sheraton hosting a reception and a few other things StarwoodLurker is cooking up. The rest of it seems to be general FT/AUS/Texas stuff and that is always good for me. It would be nice to get a good box contingent (ALCO, The Wizard of Fozz, Hartmann, colpuck, me, you, etc) there as well and show these people how to do 6th street properly. :) So, you should come. My better half is excited about the prospect, heh.

I am thinking about no hotel to motivate me to buy at the fire sale that is 6th street.

RE: PRG flight on AA. They have biz available on 1/14 JFK-LHR-PRG and coach (saver) returning at a desireable time on 1/18. This is very tempting...70k AA miles and $119 (with one way in biz) or $650 on CO all in Y???

Only an hour? Is that including essay questions? PANYNJ take 4 hours.
