I think I will go study it on google maps and have it in my memory, then I can make it fine. |

When you try it again, go really slow (ignore the idiots hooking at you) and you might see the turn off, on your right. The road to the GG Bridge is old and IIRC the road to the center is hidden and the entryway is small.

:D I've heard from a few other FT-related people who remember me and noticed the picture, including one who tagged me as "that guy who carried wine in his pocket, right?" The Club Acela lounges have no booze. I'm a bit disappointed that I'm here with a half hour to spare and nothing to drink. I could go out into the station and buy booze but then I'd lose my ability to pre-board and order more booze more quickly. I lead a tough life, it seems.

The traffic is horrible in that area with everyone heading to Marin and Santa Rosa. You could make a nice day trip to the GG Bridge, then go to Sausilito to have a look at the town and the nice view of SF from there. Then continue up North 101 to the coast to Bodega Bay. That's where they filmed the movie The Birds. You could also cut across from the other side and head to Napa and come home via Vallejo and the Bay Bridge.

I have some in my suitcase you'd be adding to the list:

whoohoo. My travel drought may be over. Going to nyc to see the family. Now I just have to find a cheap, crazy routing.

I have a headache from continuously working on spreadsheets all day today.

It seems that my aura has gained weight since I last saw it an hour ago. I also have apparently appeased the Acela attendants to some strange level. I just asked for another V&T (my 5th, I think) and the other woman working the F cabin suggested that they just "make it a double" in hope that I won't bother them again for the last 40 minutes of the trip. I could take that badly but I think I'll take it as respect for my vodka skills. Yeah, skills. |

He really was brilliant in many, many ways. Not so much anymore (he rarely speaks in public) but whatever. Soundtrack for the train ride was mostly Van Halen, with a bit of "More for Romy & Michelle's High School Reunion" thrown it to fully represent the 80s. Ahhhhh... |
