NO, but feel free to provide more details! :D

Yes, possibly.

I don't think an author would deliberately break someones suspension of disbelief like that. Either they were simply wrong when writing it, didn't think it was that big of a deal or are a poor writer. I have never heard of this guy before, much less read them, so you would have to come to your own conclusions.

Authors tend to make up bogus names for real world companies and places so that they aren't beholden to reality and can modify the setting as necessary for the story. :-:

I may stand corrected: I'm reading Chapter 1 of the new Flynn and he got an airline and city pair correct: he references a US commuter flight DCA-LGA.

Tom Clancy seems to use both correct and incorrect airline city pairs.

Here is the e-mail shown as a web page.

Ok, now a question. Many of you highlight words that when clicked on take you to a webpage or another post, etc. How do you do that? For instance, if I wanted to use the above link but say "guys look at this" and make it into a link, how do I do it?

You need to wrap the text you want to be highlighted in URL tags, with the actual URL in the first set of brackets, like this but without the quotation marks and first slash: "[/URL=www.continental.com]Here is the link to CO's website.[/URL]"

You can use the "Insert Link" icon when you post.(globe with the chain link)

[URL="http://cnn.com"]http://cnn.com[/URL]

The second 'h t t p : // cnn.com' in this case would be highlighted and that's where you'd enter the text you want.

ummm, WOW - for what dates did you get that fare? I'd like to do a return trip at some point this year...maybe February...

OK, Box - out for the evening: first to get the hair chopped (not sure how adventurous I'm feeling today) and then here for some last hurrah of Restaurant Week promos with one of my crazy-foodie friends. Should be a good time. :D

I have officially lost my mind.:mad:

I started to post this and thought I did, but i can't find it.

So those who were interested, we finally have some stuff locked down for the San Diego Film Festival. Details are on their website. If you use the promo code 'UPGRD' the Festival pass gets discounted to $79.

The W is one of the official hotels and it's the last weekend to cash in the free nights.

I'll be there from Wed night until Monday sometime. The podcast crew is doing a live podcast on Saturday as well.

Afternoon, Box.

Instead of getting to fly to GRU for work this week, I got to fly to RIC.

Only a few degrees shy of qualifying as festering around here.

On the plus side, I did have Five Guys for lunch. ^

It seems a couple of FT's are a slight shade of envy green today. (ref NYT article with sbm12) judging by the posts.

My minor oops for the day. I tweeted when I meant to FB
